The hot name this year. Love how people automatically assume he'll be a great head coach just because he's a decent quarterback coach. Lol.

Might work, might not. Better than the Philbin hire for sure.

Gase deserves credit for rejecting SF job last year when owners were forcing Tomsula on him as DC. At least he's confident he'd get more offers.

Makes sense. Now if they can get Tanny to throw an accurate pass more than 25 yds they'll be getting somewhere!

I feel sorry for Gase. He will improve the Fish, but not nearly as much as they need to be improved. I mean one playoff game since 2001 is pathetic. That one was a loser at home. This is one bad franchise in one bad division (minus the Patsies).

Good hire, the first criteria that should be met in every hiring is color

HC's should be white, as should coordinators. Whites are leaders with high IQ's.

As Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill tries to learn new coach Adam Gase’s offense, he got some tips from a guy who knows it pretty well.

According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Peyton Manning made a quiet visit to Dolphins headquarters, and offered some pointers to Tannehill on what he could expect this year.

“It was really cool,” Tannehill said. “A guy that had his career, the living legend he is, coming off a Super Bowl winning season — it was really cool just to be able to sit and pick his brain about things he’s done in this offense and football things in general: snap counts, things you like, the way you want guys to run routes, little details about the game. We really just got to talk the game, which is something we both love.”

Tannehill hadn’t had the chance to meet with Gase about the system yet, but Manning’s a pretty good surrogate (since Manning ran the system in Denver two years ago when Gase was his offensive coordinator).
