    When I turned 18 I went to the post office and registered for the draft. Pops said I had to do it. He's retired Air Force, Vietnam vet, he put in his 20 years

    I was probably the only one in my city of 150,000 that did it.

    Isn't it still technically the law to register even though there is no draft to register for?

    Yes, for one thing you become ineligible for financial aid for education if you do not register.

    smitch i would still be using that same mach 3 handle i got when i registered for the draft 16 years ago if i hadn't gotten a fusion as a christmas present from someone who didn't know what else to get me several years back.

    i was a young man using disposables, it was life changing getting that mach 3.
