Plus I think a real legend (Maldini, Nesta, etc.) could stop Messi. Ronaldo could dominate them with pure pace and power.

Swap him with Messi in Barca and you will not see the same brilliance from Suarez and Neymar. Messi knows how to accommodate other stars, CR? Has he make Rodriguez or Bale or any of the Madrid players better?

CR is like Kobe. He just play for himself(individual glory awards) rather than for the team.

Of all time? No, but best in the world IMO.

Messi has always had the better team and I think that's given him the edge, trophy wise. I'm not taking anything away from him, but Ronaldo is a complete player who can do it all. He's also had pretty average teams in the past (Mourinho real madrid) and he's led them to multiple titles. Don't forget that he basically won United 3 EPL titles and a Champions league.

Both players have never done much on the international stage which is why they'll never be considered the best ever or even close. To me, the best ever soccer player has to have leadership qualities and the ability to carry his team through tough times no matter how bad his teammates are... We've seen players such as Beckenbaur, Pele, Cruyff, Zidane, Ronaldo and Maradona do this which is why they'll always be ranked higher in my mind.

Ronaldo has scored a lot of goals that are only good for his own records, and usually gets shut down against big teams.

But don't ask me about Ronaldo, ask Di Maria, he'll tell you about the "best all around" player.

Ronaldo has not done shit for his country in Euros and the WC,don't think he has got Portugal past the quarter finals, might be wrong but if I am I don't recall.

Portugal got to the Semi's in the 06 world cup and 04 Euro final, but Ronaldo was a kid. It was a team effort.

Both Barcelona and Real Madrid are souped up on drugs (as per WADA official), old news, lots of famous footballers as well so it's a moot point.

His job is to score goals and ppl say he's selfish for doing so every striker in the world takes awful shots all game instead of passing that's what they do

Ronaldo hasn't been that impressive on his own when hes been asked to answer the bell. Look at Luis Suarez, without him Uruguay is total trash, they wouldn't have beat England in the WC without him, bank on it.

9 of them were scored against Gibraltar and Georgia...

Not playing down the man, but scoring against minnows in qualifying means nothing. Just look at England. Blowout their opposition during the qualifying group stage, crumble to pieces when matched against a decent team.
