    Soler too steep. This sequence is better. Cubs probably not done adding starting depth. Warren can slot either way. A lot to like about him. A few months ago the Cubs literally couldn't give Castro away. Now they unload him and get a legit arm in return.

    Zobrist back with Maddon. Solid signing by the Cubs. Rays fans hated when they let him go, was an excellent all around player that could play just about any position.

    Based on what? He didn't show any signs of that. I don't see anything about his game that shouldn't age fine. He'll probably fall off in Years 3 and 4, but I don't see why he should have a big dropoff next season. Even when he drops off, he still has the super utility value. He makes contact and he's a winner. With all the guys getting contracts, he cost no picks or players, and he's a bargain.

    Even if he pulls a Scutaro and falls off at the end. I guarantee the Giants were happy to pay him for the championship he had a big hand in giving them.

    Castro was due to make almost as much as Zobrist. Essentially the Cubs turned Castro into Zobrist and Warren.
