South Carolina just lost to an FCS team

What an embarrassing season this has been for them.

To think 14 months ago they were ranked #13

May as well move to the Sun Belt.

Yeah that was garbage.....too bad no one will care

Had a nice 4-5 year run with Spurrier.....4 straight 10 win seasons while dominating their rivals and winning all their bowl games

But yeah this year has been a disaster....better times to come hopefully

What?? Spurrier was 5-4 in bowl games with SC. Lou Holtz had a a better bowl record (2-0). Spurrier went 1-12 against LSU, Auburn, and Alabama during his time at SC. Got a few 10 win seasons beating up on a watered down, weak SEC East. Never even won an SEC championship (0-1). All he did was beat Clemson four years in a row. Two years ago those fans were all screaming "fear the thumb"....now look where both those programs are today. SC fans are delusional to think they will ever win anything.

Vanderbilt happy that there is a team in the SEC now that they have a chance of beating year in and year out.

Hell, Spurrier lost to Vandy twice...the same number of times they lost to them in the history of SC football before he arrived.

South Carolina never even should have been in that position to get screwed at the end.
    Overrated team.

The sickest part is they still beat North Carolina this year, and in fact the only team to do so.

NC is 10-1 and ranked #17 in the nation and will be ranked higher after the week is over.

Gives you an idea how weak the ACC is.

Yep, UNC did everything possible to lose that game and did. They owned time of possession, was moving the ball up and down the field but kept collapsing every time they tried to cross the goal line. I'm still not sure how they lost that game. Simply uncanny.

They won all of their bowl games in that stretch like 2011-2014 or whatever

I said they had a nice stretch of years wasn't talking about spurriers whole tenure

And they beat Clemson 5 in a row....2009,2010,2011,2012,2013 so you're wrong

SC doesn't have a big football tradition so of course they will have some bad seasons in transition

Interested to see who they get. So many job openings already. SoCo isn't a bad gig esp if they throw in an Augusta national membership

It's a solid job....big money and nice facilities now...decent recruiting area...great golf lol...great fans that just want a bowl game and a few rivalry wins

Nothing special but it's got a solid base from Spurrier being there and demanding that they fix up everything....the stadium and facilities are light years better now than when he first got there

rumor is they will throw down big money for Herman of Houston
