I'm up 65.2u this season so far. I don't have a thread on this site and I'm not allowed to post a link. NHL is great if you're knowledgeable in this sport and do your homework. Variance is always there though .. Like that COL game last night. I also stay away from the spread and usually just bet ML, 3w, and o/u. This is also my first year betting daily.

    So yeah, NHL doesn't suck.

Not sure. I stay away from some games I think are too unpredictable. Like CBJ/MIN today. Staying away from ANA/NSH too. If Anaheim wakes up, NSH could be in trouble. Rinne hasn't been good last few games. Plus I'm a long time ANA fan.

    I'm 42-24-0 after last night's debacle. 4-3 Parlays.

    Yeah and:

Anaheim is 8-1 SU in its last 9 games when playing Nashville.
The total has gone OVER in 7 of Nashville's last 10 games when playing at home against Anaheim.

But Anaheim hasn't shown up yet.

First month of NHL is always complete wild card. Ask any pro. Bet/tread lightly, let the weeds sort out. Great time to evaluate and observe right now. Rare consistency right now

Anaheim screwed me twice already this year. I won't even look at them for another 4-5 games.

No offense to RR, Vegas, Manny, who love the game. If I forgot anyone I'm sorry...

But capping hockey is probably the toughest thing out there.... kind of like baseball.

Stopped wagering on hockey probably 6 years ago. I might wager a playoff game here or there...

I started gambling 16-17 years ago with hockey. Back when Colorado was solid... with Joe Sakic... Deadmarsh etc. Made like $1,500 early... I think it was beginners luck. Never made a penny since.

That was such a great team to watch, Forsberg & Sakic on same line with Roy in net.

I hear ya Money...but if you love the game and if you follow it very closely--there is money to be made.
Just gotta stay patient...pick 5-7 teams to follow and learn everything about their roster, coaching stuff...their style of play...etc.
Don't be afraid to adjust your strategy on the fly...if something doesn't work, don't sit on it for too long - try something new.

Every year you'll have to come up with a new model...pick new teams to follow (because of the roster changes)...figure out what type of bets you wanna pursue the most.
You can't just pick dogs day after day and expect to win - It doesn't work that way.

You have to do your homework, just like when you bet any other sport.

If you're willing to spend time on it - You'll do alright.

It just varies I think one of easier sports if you watch it a lot. Bad beats in losses no matter what sport. For every fukkin Bruins meltdown like last night you have a Michigan punter who cant handle a ball.

First few weeks of NHL can be brutal but if you watch as RR said there is money to be made

hey Dfisher...I got buried last night with BOS...so I'm not sure you wanna follow me today.

But with that said, today, I went heavy with Blackhawks ML, -0.5 in regulation time and Florida Team Total under

    Best of luck!

No. I've been lurking here since the start of the season. I post my picks on a popular poker forum but it seems the NHL sports betting thread is dead so I'm basically talking to myself.
