    Somebody else pointed out that Mets hit more HR's and doubles than Cubs this year. And, Cubs hit more singles, had more walks, and stole more bases than Mets. So now what?

    Anything can happen in a playoff series. Sometimes the teams play totally out of character.

    In the regular season? I don't think so. Not the same stat, but Cubs had 6 fewer HR but 6 more runs scored than Mets. Cubs were 5th in HR and 6th in runs in NL. Not sure about that specific stat but I doubt it.
