I think I am leaning Yankees tonight

Tanaka at home with a much more experienced team of veterans at Yankee stadium. I think Yankees is the play tonight.

I dont see the Astros bats showing up against Tanaka either

Yankees lineup better and at home

Kind of like Yankees +2.5 -290

Keuchel pitching the biggest game of his career (so far) tonight. Nerves have to be a factor and that never favors the pitcher. Even in the regular season, it often takes pitchers an inning to settle in. Tanaka also pitching in uncharted territory and in NY, the epicenter of baseball.

I took a conservative position on the Yanks at +105 and I am also taking a small stab at a run being scored in the first inning +120.

Yankee veterans sure got it done against the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium (1-3)

and again they sure got it done against the Orioles to clinch home-field (0-3)

Yankees are 15-19 Since August at Twinkie Stadium

that number again 15 wins-19 LOSSES

Why is Keuchel pitching? If the 3 days rest thing is a big factor..why aren't they starting Kazmir? He's big game worthy and if Astros lose they essentially wasted picking him up. Astros have a lot of baseball left..yankees are limping into this one and have alrdy begun sending guys to rehab. It just doesnt seem right for NY to advance

You have to compare last 43 road games for Houston vs last 43 home games of Yankees. You know apples with apples..not oranges.

Because you pitch your best pitcher hands down, and they slumped so hard down the stretch that they had to use keuchel when they did, and didn't give him a full starts rest. You don't just pitch Kazmir cause you traded for him. Look at the royals. Ventura is starting game one over cueto because he has been much better down the stretch.

With that said... Yankees ML tonight.
