What happened to all the simple score sites???

Why are all the score sites these days clogged with annoying and useless graphics? What happened to old school simple but very clear and straight forward score sites that has team names numbers and stats....example, old yahoo sports scoreboard, old espn scoreboard and many other old scoreboards. I miss the mlb scoreboards where they woul have the team names then a lon g rectacle that lists all the innings, then the last 3 colums with runs hits and errors. Old boxcores used to have great updates and stats but now its all clunkers that slows down the computer.

Am i technologically behind or is everyone feeling the same? Man these days when i look at the college football scoreboard, i have to scroll down for ever to go through all the games...before the screen would fit so many games.

charcoal, i agree. it's like there's a non-existent arms race to see who can come up with the most advanced scoreboard, but everyone is failing. especially espn. their mobile platform used to be great, now it is pure trash.

i use the score app on my phone, it's not the best but it's better than most sites these days. espn desktop isn't bad but it used to be better.

Espn load time is trash. Every time I flip to site it requires a reload and delay. Hard to stand.

Yahoo sports app here. Sometimes the play-by-plays are even quicker than TV feeds.

I've reverted to the Score app. Only problem is when you get a text, it has to refresh the app. Espn and yahoo are utter trash. Yahoo filled with get rich quick scams, super foods, workout supplements, market crash doom scenario ads. Sad that this is what web sites have come to. Twitter and apps are all you need.

I'm with you. The tech geeks have fallen in love with their toys and we suffer the consequences. Give me the basics and shove the dancing applets etc. up your arse!

Check out http://www.scoreboard.com/en/baseball/ It's not perfect but it is better than most and covers all sports world wide.
