    Looking for some advice!!

    Good morning Gents.

Looking for some advice this morning. So I made a $150 deposit on Monday, and have been able to run my balance up to $2,500, just making straight plays. Have gone 23-4 straight up this week, and that was with picking 11 games at +100 odds or better in baseball and tennis.

So, I have requested $1,500 payout.....bringing my current balance to $1,000. Whenever I've done this in the past, I've typically lost my money within a couple days, and then start dipping into my payout.......I want to avoid that this time. I would like this money to last a while.

I'm thinking about starting like (25) $40 open parlays of like 6-10 teams......or maybe (40) $25 open parlays.....something like this.

If anyone has any suggestions or strategies....let me know. Not going to touch my $1,000 until I have a strategy in mind, and going to stick with it.

    Thanks

I use open parlays for a few things.. Mma props is the best.

Obviously if you're picking straits like that.. Continue what your doing.

Oh, and I also recommend chasing. It's a rush.

LOL..........if I only open say 4 parlays a day, that could keep me alive a minimum 10 days, but likely way more then that.

I feel like I'm gonna get cold picking straights........I could see me losing 3-4 with a chase mixed in, and then being out of money...it's happened several times before!

Do a 1k parlay of 3-5 teams and pick some -500 or higher games. High risk medium reward

If you have $1000 right now.

Risk $500 on a future bet, (nothing that is graded within the next month or so)

And split the remaining $500 on two $250 risk straight bets. Then you go from there.

Why not stay with what got you to this point?

    Why change now?

    Makes no sense.

Your reasoning is how to not lose too quickly.

    That's death valley, sir.

Cut back to 1-2 plays of the same amount and same +100 style and relax.

    Cut your plays in half.

Do you really think you will make enough money doing this to change your lifestyle?

    Of course not.

Money management has always been your Achilles heal.

Just settle in and enjoy it all and put your withdrawal to good use.

    Great job on 23-4 !!

Please just relax and enjoy the ride for a change.

Reward yourself for a great run.

Would never typically respond to these types of threads but I know you from way back.

    Hope that helps.

no such thing as law of averages. just leave it in and wait for football. that would show patience and discipline.

regular, you need a new mindset. if you want to grow as a sports bettor, you can't play scared.

i'm not telling you to be reckless but part of growing from sports betting is trusting yourself not to go on massive tilts and losing your roll. then again you know yourself better than anyone else.

as i've mentioned many times in the past, winning is easy, it's how you handle losses and most people can't handle losing, especially bad beats. meaning, it's easy to be disciplined when you're winning but couple bad beats and people just lose that discipline.

and from your description, you've been there and done that so cash out $1500 and just play normally.

do parlays for fun but mainly just do straight bets. this streak can't be all luck right? gl pal.

Take a week off and don't even look at the lines. A good run like that is almost always is followed by a cold streak. I've done this far too many times before. Lose a couple games in a row, a closer blows a 2 run lead in the 9th and now you're pissed and looking to chase. You got that feeling that any team you beat is a loser before it even starts. Start telling yourself you're playing with house money, and before you know it the bankroll is gone. Step back take a breather, football is right around the corner. Just my 2 cents, but I'm also a degenerate that's had multiple runs and had locals down 5 figures and didn't collect a dime and ended up have to owe them at the end of the month

Regular 8 just wait for the cashout of the 1500 and when it is gone from your balance, resume business as usual. Keep firing away on the straight bets, you must have made some shaky decisions like shoving all in if you ran 150 to 2500 in a week so that alone says you are probably going to lose it all back. Just take that 1000 and use flat 1-2% of it and keep rolling!

Looking at it a little more closely it looks like you were betting 100 a game and starting out with 150 means you had to have doubled up a few times before those 4 losses occurred. Feels reckless but maybe it's balls of steel.

str....thanks for the feedback. I've been doing this for about 10 years now......and have hit highs and lows! I've never been able to sustain a run like this.......and on many, many occassions have slipped up in this position.....thats why Im seeking advice to maybe turn the page.

Im not trying to change my lifestyle...perfectly happy how things are right now. Gambling is strictly recreational these days. Goal is to keep myself from depositing for a while. I'm not going to decrease my bets to 1-2% like some suggest. $10-$20 bets doesn't do anything for me....no excitement. But a $25 open 6 teamer might do the trick. Hitting 1 of 40 parlays of this size on +100 bets would make up for 39 losers, and then some.

Your right, Money Management has been death for me in the past....no question about it.

I didn't make any plays Saturday night, yesterday.....and won't be making any more today. Really want to have a strategy in place, rather then just firing off plays.

Oh, I've has months where I've deposited 6 or 7 times.......but only what I can afford to send in. So yes, many shaky decisions. First few wagers I won on this deposit where $75, then $100's and $150's mixed in.

My fear is having a $0 balance by Friday.......and if I fire off straight bets like I have been....it could very easily happen. Going to slow things down and enjoy. Will be traveling for business mid-week, and will start looking t alines when I'm spending time in the hotel.

What the flying fck? Stick with what works. Keep betting straight and I personally bet larger when I'm on a heater.

We all know when we lose, most start chasing and betting larger. Do the opposite. Accept defeat and try to minimize the damage by betting smaller. Not when you are red hot and on a 23-4 run and have 23x your original stake.

The last play I made was Seattle/Chi White Sox under on Saturday.

Under 7.5........and a blown save, and then extra runs scored in extra innings........I shut things down after that......it's happened so many times to where a loss like this will completely cave me in, no matter what kind of a heater I've been on.

Really just want to slow things down.......nothing worse then having a heater turn into a freezer. I've been known in the past to gradually win over the course of a few weeks to a few months, to end up giving it all back in a fifth of that time.

Just taking this all in right now.

If this is true... if you don't feel confident / want to get your feet on the ground, make one $100 or $50 play a night. Pick a game you like the most, and make the bet. Do this for a few days.
