this move adds DEPTH!!!! thats it.

Greinke and Kershaw will still be the guys getting the ball when the season is on the line. What this move does is just adds depth to the rotation which will help them win the division championshp.

But in the playoffs I don't think Latos is going to be much of a factor.

I think Hamels is more likely. Dodgers and Phillies seem to be pals in making deals. Tons of phillies end up in doyer uniforms

    wow.

i did not know all that.

maybe they can work it out. I hated to see the Dodgers get rid of Uribe.

Maybe Puig would be a good fit in Colorado.

Trade Hamels for Puig straight up. Puig was a one hit wonder. The guy is expensive too.

How can you say that though? Dude is still young and hasn't fully matured. However, as a Dodger fan I am sick of his BS and would welcome a trade if it was worth it

If he slots in as their 3 then he still gets probably 4 plus starts in the postseason. While Kershaw and Greinke are good cannot expect they sweep thru postseason and guys and guys cannot pitch daily.

So Latos isnt a factor how?

Sonny Gray bitch slaps a lot of people. Guy is having some bumps but he will be fine. I still think Puig fine long term as well but not totally sold any longer that LA is where he needs to be.

Mattingly on the other hand...er.. Who knows. And the ginger kid at 3rd has brought the team bad mojo as he is a ginger and thats kinda what they do, being without a soul and such.

The guy only has 22 RBI's, 49 Hits, 19 Runs, and 1 Stolen Base....Hamels just had a no hitter. Puig plays like a journey man.

No one doubts Joc Pederson’s ability. He did not come by those 21 home runs accidentally. Or those National League-leading 122 strikeouts in 347 at-bats.

The Dodgers knew Pederson arrived with a reputation for swinging big and mounting the strikeouts. Still, it was difficult to foresee he’d swing and miss to this extent.

Get news and notes on all the Dodgers matchups >>
“I didn’t think he’d strike out this much,” said Manager Don Mattingly. “This is more than I wanted.”

Pederson has been striking out in big numbers all season, but at least earlier he was still drawing walks. His batting average might have appeared mediocre, but he walked so much he still ended June with a .384 on-base percentage.

Now, though, he’s striking out more than ever and not drawing walks. In the month of July, in 92 at-bats, he had 28 strikeouts and four walks and batted .163.

And for the first time Mattingly is admittedly concerned.

“Yeah, a little bit,” Mattingly said. “He seems to be frustrated.”

Pederson’s on-base percentage has dropped to a season-low .352, still a solid number, but he’s has only a .239 on-base percentage for his 22 games in July. And that’s a poor number, particularly for someone who bats leadoff.

Mattingly admitted there has been some thought to moving him down the lineup.

“We’ve been talking about it a little bit,” he said.
Anywho I took sonny gray last night I rarely bet against the dodgers I'll usually just pass but yeah...

i hate the fact that dodgers offense is anemic vs good pitchers.

they basically have two pitchers right now and bunch of bums since ryu is out.

i just don't think they can beat st louis or washington in the playoffs.

Latos is a cancer to the team i learned that when he was here in Cincy, and it also should have been know by LA from them playing him all the time while he was in SD and all the bad press he got there.

So team team with the highest payroll in the history of MLB, who's about to win their division for the third time in a row, has a competitive balance draft pick. Makes perfect sense.

MLB needs to step in and hand down disciplinary action to Jeffrey Loria. This is disgusting.
