My favorite player since Mattingly. Been pulling for him even more since suspension and I predicted a strong comeback. He has something to prove, and he's doing it at 39 after a year off.

Nice go ahead Homer tonight. Doesnt hurt to have Ellsbury and Gardner in front of you with Teixeira hitting bombs and McCann driving in runs following you. Four and a half game lead now.

Everyone has mentioned everything and he's doing it as his 40th birthday is approaching. Won't get him in to the hall of fame, but he just loves to play baseball and I think he has his dignity and some of the respect back from his peers and he could have a coaching job when all is said and done. The year off actually helped him. Jeter didn't do shit at 40 and he's everyone's hero. I would take Rodriguez over Jeter any day of the week. Also, is a much better fielder. He's also earning his contract. Yankee management has to feel good about this season and hope he continues to play like this. Best player on the team.

High priced players who don't produce. Give it up with that line jj. It's old. Yankees have the best manager in the al.

Then it would be free steroids for every baseball fan. A limited time offer, of course.

Amazing how a guy seems to be getting better as he closes in on 40.

Can't recall it happening many times before.

Well, that guy in San Fran...

Coming back from major steroid suspensions...in no way should he win comeback player of the year, an award designed to credit a player who made a comeback from something legitimate, like injury or illness

All that showing is Derek Jeter was a major weak spot the last 3 to 4 years and the Yankee lineup
