    Phone verification for SBR contests?

    I saw that the new MLB contest (MLB Run Line Action Points 1500) required phone verification before you could join (along with the fee). Why the change?

    Phone verification is an industry standard nowadays that SBR is now adopting in an effort to verify users and make sure the contests stay on a level playing field. It is a one-time process only, we won't ask you to do it again once you're verified. We will have a bigger than ever Beat The Prick this football season and a heck of a lot of free cash to look forward to, so we figured we'd roll out the verification process now so you guys can literally just hit the enter button come Beat The Prick time. =)
