"less pay" part is not true.

Exactly! Everyone I know who is from a small town bashed cities when they lived in the town, as soon as they moved they never went back to the town and now talk about how much better it is in the city.

Sad how more people do not realize this.

And like you said JJ, Vegas is a trash city. I am talking about real cities that people want to live at.
Throw in Seattle, Portland, Austin etc in there.
I am pretty sure Seattle and Portland are left too.

There is a reason people are living in areas with higher costs of living, willing to do commutes, and for the most part can get better positions in smaller less desirable places but still prefer the city.

You remind me of some guy I know who you used to live in the woods. He hated cities and then moved to one and never went back. And who can blame him, he's not the first one.

And by Chicago I obviously meant the nice parts of the city.
Nope don't live in the woods. I have traveled a lot of seen a lot of cities. And just because somebody pays for something (even a lot) doesn't mean its good.

McDonalds for example..... paying $1 for their hamburger is to much. And even if you say its horrible you are still overrating it.

Mike, I havent looked at the article.
I am talking about upper echelon cities.
Vegas is a "city" is it an upper echelon city? No.
In upper echelon cities, example, London, NY etc. most people are not there because they make more money there.
Unless its like a wall street job etc. Doctors, accountants etc. can all go get paid more elsewhere.

Winner13 you need to figure this out for yourself.

This forum is for intelligent sports gambling talk.

We can't have posters running around trying to figure out complex social questions.
Exactly right, YY!......Most SBR posters think that Central America is the Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas area!

Do you consider Mississippi, Wyoming etc. To be better places to live?
Mississippi would def be a change of life style but here you have all the fishing, hunting ect you want. People are 100x more friendly. No huge traffic to wait in. No dirty smog or dirty streets. Can hit a back road, drink ya a few beers and the cops don't bother you. You don't have a neighbors house practically on top of yours... Can pee off your front porch freely(kidding...kinda) it's an easy life style here. Way less stress and easy goin... If that's not your thing then no you would hate it here. But youre an hour or two away from ole miss and mississippi state, so get to see good football, hour away from the Grizzlies games and Beale st. I'm 15 minutes away from tunica casino which is one of the nicest and largest in the states... Couple hours away from the Titans, but they suck... And cost of living is very low... Jmo but I love it here

ByeShea, could you give me some examples of great republican cities?

Not looking to debate what party is right etc.

I find it interesting that Ann Coulter and many republican journalists have houses in left cities.

Actually there isn't a Democratic run state booming anywhere that isn't an egregious example of 1%ers.

Texas is a giant Republican state that's fared nicely for new businesses. Arizona too. Oklahoma has a strong economy and Republicans in Colorado keep the state from becoming an embarrassment that California is.

A basic Republican policy, unlike the Democrat, is not to bleed businesses to death through regulation and taxation. Democrats today are socialists - which is disastrous to the economy.

Were getting off track, Oklahoma, Texas etc. are not as desirable.
I am sure Austin has more democratic voters than republicans.

I do not want to debate which party is better.
Just would love to know of elite cities that are republican, does anyone know one?

Ann Coulter, the republican journalist, has residences in left wing L.A and Manhattan.
Even she would prefer to live there than say Wymoning, Mississippi etc. (no offense to people that live there.)

You're a clown with a one-dimensional understanding of demographics. Take New York City - one might consider it a Republican town because the GOP can raise as much cash out of it as Democrats can.

Also don't forget that New York City elected Guiliani to clean up the town after that idiot men's room attendant-turned-mayor Dinkins made it so bad that the #1 "Democratic" city in the country elected a conservative.

No one has named one great republican city.

Original post was looking for a 'place'. You really think the nicest suburbs across the United States are Democratic? Orange County is Republican, as nice a place in America someone can live. It's big and tons of people live there - but not exactly a city.

I am truly sorry but you're a clown and have no grasp on this subject.

Lol you clown. Where do you live?

I did not say there aren't areas (suburbs maybe) within a city that don't have more majority republican voters. Ex. Maybe the west/north side of SF has more republican voters.
ByeShea, however the city as a whole however has more majority democrat voters.
Does your simple, live in the woods, dive after a beer mind grasp this?

No one was able to list one city. Best we got was Tahoe and OC.

Anyways I am done with this thread, good luck in life ByeShea.
