    that's about right, but you wouldn't believe how difficult it was to squeeze money out of owners back then. there were holdout threats over 100k for those guys and they caved. no free agency players generally underpaid then overpaid now.

    Terrible numbers backing them on the road, slightly up for home games though (LAD).

    Dr Thunder value play has to be the Phillies or are we going +1.5 -600?

    One last idea, lets just not bet this one and watch Turdshaw get no run support and then all say we were on the Phillies.

    I have nothing here yet, but Phillies are actually bettable at +330 or more. My model has Dodgers at "only" 75% (-300).

    Kershaw has a 1.78 ERA in his last eight starts; anyone who thinks he's finished should quit gambling. Phi is by far the worst road team in MLB (11-32) and that's why the line is so high, although it's RL or nothing. I'll pass on the game.

    Last 6 meetings vs Phillies he is 2-1 with a 1.73 ERA + throwing 14 scoreless innings in 2 straight wins vs PHI

    Phillies on the other hand are batting .296 and averaging 5.1 runs over their last 7 but only won 2 of their last 7 games.

    Dodgers struggle to generate offense for Kershaw. Adam Morgan's last outing went 7 innings in 2-1 loss vs Atlanta.

    Phillies ML for me.

    This is one of the best games to trade live and lock in profits.

    If you get the Phillies right now at +340 or so, I guarantee if the game just stays tied after the 1st inning, before the Phillies come up to bat for the 2nd,you would have probably already won based on live betting lines.

    There is no way the Dodgers stay above -300 during the game if it's tied after the 1st or 2nd inning

    People acting like Kershaw has been struggling...his xFIP is 2.13 for 2nd in the MLB, SIERA is 2.30 for 3rd in MLB, and FIP is 2.55 for 7th in MLB even with a HR/FB of 16.2%, which is awful and should be expected to come back to normal (hence xFIP is killer). Also a BABIP of .301 with a GB/FB of 2.03 should also be expected to fall.

    I would hardly stay Kershaw is struggling right now, although -330 is hilarious. Phillies have hit lefties much better than righties this season, while the Dodgers have fared worse against left handers. (both starters are left handed tonight)

    Oddsmakers really pushing the public's nerves with the markets with this one. I don't think many bettors realize that there are many times where this type of price is justified but bookies can't go there, no one will buy. It's a market constraint. I expect to see more and more of these "fringe" plays than we used to as oddsmakers and bookmakers alike are emboldened. The higher the line, the more juice they can add. Good for books in general as they short players on the dog side.
