    1994 was a very weird year in sports and society

    In chronological order I believe:

    - Northridge CA earthquake
    - Tonya harding v Nancy kerrigan lead pipe beating
    - cobain suicide
    - OJ murders and slow speed chase
    - andres own goal and then murder 10 or so days later

    What else was weird that year in sports n society ?
