Zero chance the nationals or dodgers win the world series

2 very overrated squads. Big names on the mound but no results. Fade these clowns

Nags probably have a better chance. Relief pitching for the dodgers is worse than last year and we all know that's the reason why they lost to the cards.

Of course the Dodgers don't have a chance, their Manager and bullpen sucks.

Nats have a way better than 0% chance. They're treading water nicely and about to get really healthy.

Matz used to come in my pizzeria before I sold it... It was after he was drafted. Nice kid, I asked him if he's gonna make it to the show... He told me no doubt. I think he will be their #2 or 3 next year.

I can agree on the Nats right now but not on the LAD. They are the best team in baseball imho and should be the NL world series rep. Now Mattingly is not my favorite at all so taking him out of the equation this team can win it all.

This may surprise some but my AL representative right now is Baltimore Orioles with Houston Astros right behind.

Nats, Cards slightly overrated. LAD no, they are the real deal.

    Baltimore....umm no.

At least LA has talent but I'm not sure how you can be so confident in them right now.

You say the Cardinals are overrated but they have owned the Dodgers in the post-season recently.

I think one of these four teams will win it:

    Angels
    Royals
    Pirates
    Cardinals

I'm thinking KC over Pitt in the World Series but I'm taking a shot and thinking outside the box.

Okay I guess I'll try to insert some facts into the discussion even though its pointless due to ESPN media nonsense and couch potato fans.

St Louis is 19th in hitting......LAD 10th even though everyone crys they can't hit anything. They certainly need help hitting vs LHP but that's an easy remedy.

Nats are 19th defensively.....cannot win in the playoffs with that kind of immaturity. LAD are numero 1 defensively.

St Louis is number 1 in pitching /golfclap and in hacking.....LAD are 4th.

The ingredients are there for a monster season, the question is can mattingly keep the ship going through injuries and vs LHP.

3rd grade napkin stats for the people that TLR

    LAD 1,4,10 = 5
    STL 11,1,19 = 10.3
    WAS 16,9,8 = 11

I'm not bothering with Balty. I'll take the 25 to 1 with a good manager and hope for some tweaks to that rotation.

The Cardinals have been to four straight NLCS and won the World Series in the last four years.

The last two post-seasons they have eliminated the Dodgers.

I go off of real world results. You go off meaningless stats. Who is the real couch potato fan?

St. Louis is #1 in pitching, #8 in runs scored and #9 in average so get your facts straight. How in the hell are you getting that they are 19th in hitting? Are you making things up? They are actually in the top third of baseball.

You're not even consistent with your argument either. You hype up LA's offensive "stats" and then downplay the Cardinals pitching "stats". At least be consistent. Lol

As for your stats....wins, pennants, and World Series titles are the only stats that matter there chief. Somehing the Cardinals have done well the last 15 years while LA hasn't done shit but spend money.

Okay while you are living in the past I'm living in the now. The only dispute should be if my numbers are correct. I gave you the averages of all three teams.

    Runs per game
    LAD 4.23 #10
    STL 3.98 #19

    Earned Runs per game
    LAD 3.30 #4
    STL 2.57 #1

    Errors per game
    STL .57 #11
    LAD .39 #1

Google MLB team hitting stats and then sort each column by numbers when you locate it on ESPN.

St. Louis has scored the 9th most runs in baseball and is 8th overall in average.

As for "living in the now", the Cardinals have a much better record than LA and are 5-2 against LA head to head.

LA is talented but they have done nothing to prove they are a contender.

BigD if I have to explain to you how to divide runs scored by games played I need to be immediately removed from this site.

St Louis 326 runs scored in 82 games what is that math?

LA Dodgers 355 runs in 85 games what is that math?

I'm not even high yet lmao what is going on here?

The Dodgers have scored more runs but so what.

All I'm sayinf is that stats are meaningless for the most part.

The Cardinals are like 25 games over .500.

I'll take the team that wins games and does well in the post-season over the team with the good hitting stats.

Pitching tends to dominate post-season play anyway.

Stats are what wins games in baseball. The NBA is where stats are meaningless

BigD I hear you and they are certainly crushing the national league right now along with a strong playoff history. I'm sure we will see them this postseason again.

If this helps any, I am on the Cards for both games today so I am their #1 fan(at least today). Cubbies aren't ready yet

Both LAD and Wash are talented teams that should enter to playoffs, most likely as division winners. From there is mostly a tossup, any team can win out. A series is too small sample for the better team to advance consistently. Even mediocre teams can win the world series on a hot run, as the 1987 Twins.

Dude, I understand that LA has talent but we've heard this story before. I'll believe it when I see it. That's all I ws saying.

I'm sure as hell not confident to load up on them when post-season starts.
