Jordan has always had somewhat of a tumultuous relationship with Chris Paul...I find it rather ironic that Chris Paul, a once almost teammate of Bryant now has something else in common with Bryant himself...a former teammate who left money on the table to leave and play with a conference rival...says a lot about Pauls leadership skills...

This guy was not even in LA during Free Agent Week ....he was and still is vacationing in the Bahamas with Lebron & Melo.....lol...3 to 1 says Dallas finishes with a better record as well just like Houston did... Paul's window has officially closed....barring a trade or major signing...

How does Menses find a threa about clippers, talking about deandre Jordan trade to mavs, that goes back to chemistry problems with Chris Paul, and connects it in a way where Kobe looks bad. Guy has talent

Probably X out the trade Mensus. Most stars in nba don't arrive to new destinations via trade. And what are you gonna get in return for Griffin that's better who is their only big time commodity outside CP3? Free agent splash only way to go but Dips pockets are tight these days. Gonna have to settle for some mid level fill in and roll on.

A lose lose situation for both Jordan and the clippers.

With Paul Pierce coming the clippers would have been a serious contender had Jordan stayed, now the clippers are probably going to be a low seed for the playoffs and 1st round exit without Jordan's rebounding and rim protection, let alone winning a championship anytime soon.

Jordan would have had a legitimate shot at winning a championship and making more money with the clippers, now that chance is gone with an aging Dirk on the Mavs. Basically he took a smaller contract going to an inferior team.

Things must have really not gone well between him and Chris Paul.

Get on the horn to Legend in Indy see if he would take a lawn mower in trade for Bynum.

somebody insert the gif of CP3 jumping on Deandre's back and dry humping him trying to get him to put that last second shot up.

Deandre is an idiot, Clippers will prob be better without him.

giving it some thought, i don't blame deandre for leaving.

but the bum is lazy as hell and chris paul wasn't gonna have any of it.

how hard is it to practice fts? how hard is it to develop post moves?

mavs are going nowhere with that team.

this move might be better off for the clippers in the long run, they just need to find a replacement quick.

Like someone said, I doubt CP3 likes DJ. When teams play the foul game, DJ is useless and an liability to the team. No matter how high CP3 basketball IQ is, he just can't help a poor FT shooter make his FTs.

Where Aldridge ends up will probably decide a lot in the West. If he goes to the Spurs, the west is wrap.

Deandre Jordan is overrated. Chris Paul made him. The same way he made David West into an all star in New Orleans. These guys like Deandre Jordan are nothing without a superstar pg.

It's just such an FU move by DeAndre.
Nobody does that without a good reason.
Interesting how the thread is 50/50 on the reasons and 50/50 on who it helps or hurts.

If I were his GM/coach, I would give him a $1,000 per block and $100 per rebound bonus, under the table in cash.
It would keep his focus centered and give him a great reason to not worry about his offense.

I think more of a incentive would be $1,000 for any free throw made

80million for 4 years to play less than 200 hours of a game in which the object is something you suck at unless you are at point blank range.

    Unfathomable.

You must be a Clipper fan bc that is a really dumb post. Best defensive center in basketball by far.

DJ is an idiot, no doubt smokes too much whacky tabaccy, but to deny how effective he is is ignorant. He showed vs in the regular season and vs D.Howard in the playoffs he's the best rebounder/ shot-blocker in the game today. A perfect fit in Dallas next to Nowitzki. He murdered the Mavs last year.

IBY with the voice of reason!

Dirk does hate to rebound and his misses are always soft off the rim.
He also has that knack for rising up to shoot and making a last second pass to a wide open man down low.

    A perfect fit indeed.

    Impressive post young Skywalker, welcome!

The Clippers need a scoring 2 o 3. JJ Redick and Matt Barnes are awful. Barnes is gone, but the Clippers didn't need a big 3 of a 1, 4, and 5, they need a 1, 2 or 3, and 4. Clippers should be able to find a guy who can avg 10 points/10 rebounds pretty easily to replace DJ.

As a Rockets fan, I can say in the playoffs Jordan was a beast against us on D. With the Mavs getting Matthews as well, they are going to have a hugely improved defense. They look thin on paper though and have no point guard yet.

How is it a wrap if spurs get Marcus? He plays no defense and spurs razor thin up front.
