Arenado doesnt belong in discussion. Inflated numbers due to coors field

For getting on base as much as he does, Escobar sure doesn't score a lot. No production either. Pass.

    Frazier deserves to be #1.

As the second guy for the all-star game, I hate to say it as a Cards fan, but just put Kris Bryant on there. He's who the fans want to see, and it's not a bad option even if they didn't.

Arenado absolutely deserves to be in the discussion. Far and away the best defensive 3B in the NL as well as a very good hitter.

Frazier's having the best year, but if you're talking about projecting over the next 5 years, the choice is easy: Kris Bryant.

I think Rendon has to be in the conversation even though he's been out....he was 5th last year in MVP voting.

Frazier leads them in HR/Runs/SB/2B and 2nd in Avg/RBI
Not sure how it could be anyone else (he is also good on the defensive side, though struggling a little bit so far this year)

You really need to research your posts before you post them as fact.
    There are Arenado's home/away splits.
Where is he better, home or away from Coors?

Split G GS PA AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI SB CS BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS TB GDP HBP SH SF IBB ROE BAbip tOPS+ sOPS+
    Home 34 33 140 132 21 37 9 3 6 25 0 1 4 20 .280 .300 .530 .830 70 5 1 0 3 2 1 .284 88 123
    Away 33 33 136 125 18 36 7 0 11 29 0 2 7 20 .288 .331 .608 .939 76 3 2 0 2 1 0 .260 112 166

Arenado is a hoover at third base and will win a dozen more gold gloves before his career is over.

When you factor in every aspect of the game Arenado is every bit the the thirdbaseman Frazier is, if not better.

Carpenter and its not even close the last 5 years, hes the most clutch out of the list and you put any pitcher against him in the playoffs in a big moment and I would take him every time. I dont think you can say that about anyone else on that list

Nolan Arenado but who cares he plays for a terrible baseball team.

Of the guys that are on teams that actually matter its easily Matt Carpenter.

Arenado has more talent in his pinky finger that Carpenter has but it doesn't mean shit b/c the Rockies will never make the playoffs b/c they refuse to pay for pitching.

Carpenter does the little things that don't show up on a stat sheet. He is a winner.

Cardinals peaked too soon this year though. i guarantee they don't win the world series.

But you are on record, multiple times going back to 2014 on how great the Rockie team is, and how they are such a force, and how good the pitching staff is...... ( I can get links to all your Rockie posts if you want )

Now they are a suck ass team, what gives man, are they a great team like you have posted on these boards numerous times, or do they suck?

Very doubtful at first about Bryant, but after seeing a few of his gems on defense, he could very well be a bona fide stud.

Matt Carpenter is the guy I want during playoffs. Guy is not afraid to bat with bases loaded against the Dodgers.

Why would he? He knows Kershaw is going to throw a meatball in the middle of the plate.

@thread Arenado is the best defensive player and Frazier is the best slugger. Frazier leads NL 3rd baseman in errors.

Sure, because most of those guys have not been in the league for 5 years.

But who cares about the past. What about the next 5 years? Who would you take for the next 5 years?

Defense is a big part of it though.

Look at Washington, they had to disrupt the entire chemistry of their infield because of a thirdbaseman who could not throw a ball to first base.

Now Bear will tell you LaRoach is garbage, (he's not) he led the Nationals in HR's last season, however Ryan Zimmerman was so bad at 3B the Nationals they had make room at first for him.

Don't kid yourself without Max and and Clown Boy Nats are nowhere near first place.
They had to move Zimmerman to 1B, start Escobar, who is hitting for average, yes, but not much production.
Rendon and Desmond aren't tearing it up either, Nats are missing LaRoachs 25 or so bombs.
