I would assume because of the way Noah is pitching ??? It certainly can't be Ian with his 7.15 ERA ???

Noah Syndergaard is my new favorite pitcher in MLB.

Guy is every bit as good as Matt Harvey IMO.

    Las Vegas 51's

he is a beast. Routinely 97-99mph on his fastball with an ungodly breaking ball coming from a guy hovering over the hitter at 6 foot 10 inches.

    LT,

What made you back off Dickey and the Blue Jays? I noticed you had them in your picks yesterday before the game was delayed.

yeah Dickey always gets rocked in rainy weather but its supposed to be dry today

also Zimmerman has horrible numbers in day games an ERA over 7 in day games and he is 0-2

I don't know about dry weather there Bear, I just checked the NWS, they will probably get them game in, but still chance of showers and overcast. FYI.

oh i guess that would be helpful if we were handicappin a game that took place 2 years ago.

here is day games line this season

    Day ERA 7.36 Win/Loss 0 -2 0 0 3 3 0 14.2 21 15 12 1 8 5 .328 -opponent batting average

Yesterday I liked Dickey because he was undervalued at +148 IMO. But today there are different dynamics with the extra day off for both starters, so chose to pass rather than try to figure out if the extra day benefits either. I usually hate betting pitchers that are all set to pitch and are then moved back a day (or more) due to weather, they are generally creatures of habit that have become used to going every fifth day for the most part.

Kennedy's problem has been giving up home runs, I think he is on a record pace with 12 allowed in 39 innings.

But believe it or not, his other peripherals are not awful, nice ratio of 37 strikeouts vs. 14 walks and his xFIP of 4.01, while nothing special, is still THREE Full Runs lower than his ERA, suggesting at least some positive regression. He should be fine as long as he keeps the ball in the yard.

Ironic that Kennedy did his part and it was Syndergaard that ruined the Under.

Oh well, 1-4 night but still +12.61 YTD. Bring on Wednesday.

Syndergaard is a future star and could be a Cy Young contender in a few years, don't get down on him after his FIRST bad start in the Major Leagues after four excellent ones.
