Everyone said it was easy last year, and about half the posters got them all right...and that's with the AFC being mostly chalk

    Jets
    Jags
    Raiders
    Browns
    Titans
    Redskins

    Book it.

Actually thinking about this, I think team total win UNDERS would be good bets, as so many are around 7 or 8 when in reality every year there are multiple 3, 4, 5 win teams.

Dallas busted a lot of lists last year. I'm curious which team is this year's Dallas. I'm worried that it's OAK.

Also, last year we did this right before week 1. I may give an expanded list right before week 1 this year.

Obvious teams that will miss the playoffs:

    Jaguars
    Raiders
    Titans
    Bucs
    Redskins
    Browns

In terms of sports betting for most value and a decent chance of missing the playoffs:

    49ers
    Cowboys
    Bengals
    Bears

I don't see much fade betting value in SF/CHI, they are already big long shots odds-wise. If anything, I could see SF/CHI rejuvenated with their respective coaching changes and I'd be careful fading them because Fox is a sneaky solid coach and SF seems to maintain a functional toughness despite all their depth loss last year. I see them both around 8-8, maybe sneaking up to 10-6 if the balls bounce in their favor.

DAL/CIN do represent great fade value if you think they'll regress back to the classic bungles and cowpokes that find ways to lose instead of finding ways to win. With CIN, their division is so dang tough, always staring up at PIT/BAL, put CIN in the NFC South and they clinch by Thanksgiving. Somewhat similar with DAL, I see PHI and NYG nipping at their heels, but DAL is the big gorilla right now and will have to find ways to choke this great opportunity away. DAL is pretty big chalk to get back to the playoffs this year, so you can win a lot betting against them if you are right, CIN is medium chalk (sort of a playoff bubble team right now) but enough chalk dust to make fading them worthwhile if you see them losing more than winning. Personally, I see both CIN/DAL as legit teams in the 10-6 neighborhood.

Oakland and Dallas ARE NOTHING ALIKE, you do realize Dallas was good because they had the top O-line and a top 3 RB, who does Oakland have on offense that even remotely closely resembles what Dallas has???? I laughed so hard when i read this comment

I liked Oakland to improve until I saw they hired Bill Musgrave as OC. That guy just sucks

Don't say "Zero Chance" like Lakerboy.
It's best to say "Low Chance" or "High Chance".
There's no such thing as "Zero Chance" and "100% Lock".

Okay has anybody here even looked at schedules? Big key in betting o/u season totals...

Other hint: only bet unders in NFL season totals.

Every year I bet an under on a double digit 'fav' and cash big. Last year was SanFran, then Denver before that, then it gets hazy before that...

Who is your shocker team this year? That was my comment. Which bottom-feeder team makes the playoffs?

Last year, half the people had Dallas missing the playoffs and who could argue because they hadn't had a winning record in years, a #32 ranked defense that lost it's best player to IR. Yes, now it's obvious that Dallas is legit, but it wasn't nearly as obvious one year ago.

They still had an elite offense, ppl knew they would at least be decent. Oakland has no shot of being even decent. IDK about a shocker team, nor do i care to guess about one, because they wouldn't win the conference anyways. If you put a gun to my head and made me choose, Atlanta or the Jets....

Elite is a bit strong, maybe top 10. There were knocks on Romo's choking, Murray's durability, Dez's attitude, etc.

I give ATL a puncher's chance with Matty and Julio. If the D can evolve with Quinn, anything's possible in that division.

Jets are probably #7 on my no-shot list. The division is too tough and I don't like the dynamics of that team right now.
