We are now just about one month into another MLB season, meaning that it is time to unveil our newest SBR contest for the month of May, the MLB Batter Up 1500. This contest lasts literally one calendar month as it begins on Friday, May 1st and runs through Sunday, May 31st. You must make a minimum of 90 and a maximum of 180 MLB plays, and the contest includes Money Lines, Totals and Run Lines. All plays must be rated from 1 to 5, and the rating will be the BASE amount, so you will be playing To Win if odds are "-" and .Risk if odds are "+". Standings will be based on units.

Note: If there is a tie in units, the tiebreaker will be Action Points, which is how much you beat the line by on totals and run lines only. If still tied after Action Points, the prizes will be split.

We need this but higher buy-ins. Like 20? Got 7th last month and just 75 for it. Not worth entering 80 picks over a full month. But they are fun. No question about that.

This is an SBR Guaranteed contest, not a straight pool like the weeklies I run. Prizes are the same regardless of number of entries. We may consider bigger buy-ins with bigger prizes, but it seems these SBR contests are almost always overlays now to begin with, so I doubt upper management would go for it. For example just look at this one, 1500 guaranteed with just 87 entries.
