Just made a Fan Duel Deposit - Suggestions???

ive never played before what does it mean when it says "Late" beside the league title?

Is it best to build up bankroll with smaller 3-10 team leagues and smaller payouts or should i enter for a chance to win $75,000?

    thanks never played before

I play at DraftKings. I'm not familiar with FanDuel.

I'm guessing "late" refers to the three games tonight.

"Early" was for the six early games.

It's pretty much all luck, I just press buttons and hope for the best. I'm winning my heads up game today. It was $109, and I'm only getting back $200. Basically its risk $109, to win $91. It's a ripoff. Probably best playing in those big tournaments and hitting lightning.

best to play the big tournaments (GPPs) and try to hit something big... I put in a few lineups per night (I like NBA, but just getting into MLB), and just hope to hit a big score. A ton of luck and variance involved in these. I got a Masters contest on DraftKings where I have Ernie Els, Jason Day, Bubba Watson, Tom Watson, Mickelson, and Vijay Singh. Singh the only of the 6 not in the top 20, so I got a chance if he can turn it around tomorrow. That one was $1 to enter and top prize is $2000... There was a $20 GPP where first prize is $1,000,000 for the Masters. We both could have had a free entry if you would have signed up through me.

Unless you are really good, stay away from anything but the big tourneys. Competition is very tough, and the vig is bad.

The big tourneys are worth a shot with the big prizes. Especially in baseball where there is a bigger luck factor.

I've had some decent success in the 50 50's with 10 people. I can usually design a team that finishes in the top 5.

yes for the guys asking about deposits its super easy which is the only reason i did it.

i prefer betting on games but i thought i would give this a try.

Started with $25 was up over $80 and now i am at an even $50

i am still not sure if i like playing fantasy baseball and the big tournaments seem like such a long shot to win

still trying to figure out what my best strategy is... does anyone recommend the head to head games or are those dudes on there really good?

what i have been doing is taking a cheap pitcher and using the majority of the funds on outfielders...

however i am thinking about going with a cheap outfield and big name infielders since good hitting infielders are few and far between.

yes it is a huge longshot to place high in the big tourneys. good thing about it though is that you can cash often enough that it doesnt get expensive to keep playing. and its pretty easy for me anyway to not go on tilt and stay at the right limits. I havent hit anything much over $100 in my life, but I just started around the All Star break in NBA this year. Only about $150 in and I play anywhere from 1-4 lineups per night ($1 to $3 each). I'll put on $25 and that'll last me anywhere from a week to a month. Im new to baseball just like you so Im learning as well. Im pretty sure you wanna go with best pitchers available and then fill i after that. Just take the two pitchers you think are going to be the best regardless of price and then fill in position guys accordingly. If I spend alot on pitching and have to scape by on positions, I like to stack guys (taking 2 or more consecutive guys in the batting order). If pitching is cheap, I don't worry so much about stacking, just take the best available.

Im still playing NBA so havent played a lot of MLB yet, maybe a lineup per night. Cashed a couple but nothing over a few bucks.

Some guy last night entered 350 entries in the big $3 NBA sharpshooter. placed 17th (so he got places 17-367), was good for over 13K on $1050 investment.

In NBA, you really gotta nail every lineup spot if you want to hit a big score. And even then its no guarentee. MLB is a little different, a couple big winners had more than 1 zero in their position guys... but you really gotta nail both your pitchers to have a chance to win.

I seem to be really streaky. Went 16 days without cashing a while back, and that was right after I cashed 5 days in a row. Overall, Im guessing a good cash rate is 20-25% of the time, as long as you are giving yourself a chance to place high.

Head to heads might be easy at the lower levels, I really dont know, played my first one last night. Those just dont really do it for me, but I like the entertainment and the chance to hit it big without investing big.

played a couple Master's tounraments as well, that was pretty cool.

The thing I did not like about fan duel was once your first game kicks off the players in later games are locked in.
Is that still case for Baseball also ? played only hockey ones

Pennies fellas. Use your edge against the books and not on the pocket books of the sharks and the MAN. Want entertainment thats what fantasy sports really is.

I like draftkings better for baseball, 2 pitchers is the biggest difference.

Also they let you edit lineups until each game starts which is good if you cant always be at the computer when the lineups for the late games are announced.

I play the $27 tourney, usually pays like 10-20k for first. I've already placed a few times.

    90, 162, 757

I've been taking mid-low priced pitchers and loading up on hitters from the same team with good matchups. However as the season goes on i will go more for pitching as the aces round into form and start going deeper in games.

i think drafkings format and scoring in pretty much every sport is far and away better.
