    Sac Kings line move

    Is it correct that the Kings line moved 3 points because news came out that Cousins might be on the trading block??

    He isn't on the trading block and besides the trade deadline has passed so that's totally irrelevant. The news was just that he wasn't untouchable at the deadline but he didn't end up getting traded so who cares.

    The line moved because he's not playing tonight.

    The Trade Deadline, passed at the All-Star Break, only says that if a team doesn't have a player on their roster by the deadline, that player can't be on their playoff roster - teams, especially teams that aren't going to make the playoffs like Sacramento and Denver, can still make trades.

    Someone must know that Cousins is out but all I could find is that he is questionable for tonight, not out, which doesn't explain the line movement.

    DeMarcus Cousins (left ankle sprain, left hip contusion) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Spurs.

    He was unable to practice on Thursday because of these injuries, and we would be shocked if he was able to give it a go on Friday with the Kings going absolutely nowhere in the Western Conference. We will update his status when we know more, but Rudy Gay is going to be a busy man on offense for the Kings if Cousins sits. Jason Thompson, Reggie Evans and Carl Landry will likely all see a bump in minutes on Friday, but none of them are viable options in standard leagues for now. Feb 26 - 7:09 PM

    The line move was late ....Cousins was all but out since yesterday and the line didn't start moving until mid morning.

    It was even inching towards Sac at 3.5 this morning

    I don't think so.

    As far as I understand a player has to be registered by March 1st to be on a playoff roster, so in 2 days. Until then players can still be bought out and sign with other teams.

    I'm pretty sure trades can't take place anymore. Could be wrong. Anyway what I do know is that the story was in the past tense "Nobody was untouchale at the trade deadline" - implying even Cousins could've been moved.

    Questionable does move lines actually for a guy like Cousins. In this case it's doubtful - which is all but out.

    I really don't understand how him being available for a trade, even if such a scenario were possible, would move a line though.

    What a silly statement. The only loser was the guy from Denver who terminated him after going to the playoffs, having one of the highest scoring teams in the league, and Coach of the year. Denver went straight downhill after that and you know it.
