I don't really get what all the discussion is about in here and too lazy to read 4 pages. Bottom line is Rose is a great player who unfortunately won't get to his full potential because of injuries. Some players just don't have the body to hold up in pro sports (Grant Hill, Penny Hardaway, Brandon Roy). It's unfortunate, but his glory days are almost all but over. Would not surprise me if he still played til he was 35 like Grant Hill did, but he'll never be the same.

#2 - even rose at 75% is still better than any pg they have on the roster

    stop making excuses for rose

regardless, rose is a non factor now bc he is washed up. guy will never ever be able to stay healthy for more than half a season again. his body is just too fragile.
    LOL....

Youre right.... no players ever get cleared and get re-injured....

Stop making excuses to hate on a fukking guy who caught some bad luck.

And no, 75% of no player is good enough in this league. This league is full of talent.
thats why lebron sat out for 2 weeks because he WAS NOT 100% and could not help his team as much as he should. Now hes back and feeling much better and look... theyre winning...

The fact of the matter is, noone has a reason to hate rose other than pure ignorance and intelligence that only extends as far as ESPN will report.

i guarantee you no doctor told LeBron he wasnt "clear to play" but he made a decision for his wellbeing.

    Ignorance is why.
blaming a guy for a fukking slew of injuries and they think he should have come back right when a doctor "cleared" Him.

bottom line rose is selfish and a pussy and did not want to play after the doctors said his leg was good enough to play
Until you've had the same injuries and can compete on such a high level what you say doesn't make sense, go on YouTube and watch Rose right before playoffs playing one on one, he wad in no way able to be productive in the nba.

Not a Rose hater, more of a conflicted Bulls fan. Like others have said he was a talented player who's body couldn't handle the demands of the NBA. But it's hard to feel sorry for a guy sitting on $100 million while Bulls championship hopes go down the tubes each year. 'The return' Adidas debacle made things worse. It's all played out in public and in 20 years when Rose is at his meetings and graduations he'll have do deal with everyone's pity. Despite the money in the bank it looks like the rest of his life is a fukkn sad story.

He's one injury away from being finished. Left knee's held up since ACL surgery but you have to wonder if that's next to go.

Rose has won an MVP, lets not be ridiculous here. Rose can plan for his 1 year old son's high school graduation party now.

playoffs wayyyy more important than regular season. the spurs rest their players all the time to heal injuries in the regular season

when its playoff time, when the star players can walk u better be ready to go to war (figurative) and play for your team

think of aaron rodgers limping around the field vs the cowboys and seahawks in the nfl playoffs. Rodgers had a slight tear in addition to the strain in his calf, limiting his mobility 7 days before the first playoff game vs the cowboys

thats what the great ones do. kobe, ewing, dwayne wade, they all played hurt in the playoffs

rose didnt... he has less pride than the other stars

and for the record i loved rose when he was having all star seaons.

None of them played with serious injuries. They were small ailing things.
This was a SIGNIFICANT tear to the MOST important and complex joint in the body.

Of course you loved him when he was having all star seasons, everyone did. Now hes a pussy cause he got hurt? Naw. Only fukk boys think that.

read my example about aaron rodgers. rodgers injury happened 7 days before the playoff game. rose's injury was MONTHS before, and then the doctors cleared him to play. guys like kobe, paul pierce, barkley, wade, they all would have played in the playoffs given rose's situation.

but rose is selfish and cares more about being able to walk pain free at his sons graduation

hey thats cool, unless youre making 15 million a year.

It looks like we're going to have a third year in a row of "will he or won't he come back." And if he doesn't, definitely going to be a lot of "he's a pussy." We'll know more later today, but it does seem this is the kind of surgery guys come back from in 4-6 weeks, which would put him back in the last week or so of the reg season.

Who tha fukk cares if he makes an all star team?? Did you see the all star voting this year? Its not at all consistent with the best players in the league. Boogie didnt get voted in, Lillard didnt get voted in....

    Another injury.

A once promising, absolutely historical career is now grasping for air.

I sit in awe. I believe in Derrick Rose, I believe in Chicago, and I believe in this franchise. This isnt over yet.
Derrick is a respectable, humble young man and right now he deserves nothing but prayers and positive thoughts.

Im rooting for you D Rose, i know most of these haters wont be.
D Rose is going to be A-OK! back in 4-6 weeks and the surgery went really well as reports are telling us. Do you think he will still be able to make a difference in the playoffs?

I cant imagine why not. Not nearly as serious as his past injuries. Lets hope he can rehab well!
