I bet on a soccer game live bet when the score was 1-1 in the 35th minute. I bet Under 2.5 First Half. 2 Minutes after the bet the game disappeared off Bet365 and the bet was listed as unsettled for hours until I finally got this message. "We are contacting you regarding bet ID *********placed at odds of -250 on Under 2.5 (First Half Goals FC Kontu v LPS). We have identified that this fixture was listed incorrectly and as such, in accordance with our rules, the selection has been made void.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Not really, I just liked the odds with 10 minutes to go in the half and I didn't see another goal. The game was voided for everyone who bet it. The game finished 1-1. Other people were complaining too but I don't get their reasoning.

I don't know enough about soccer to say for sure, but perhaps they meant the number to be -350 or something. I don't know. But this doesn't seem to be the +12 instead of -12 deal. And not even a +250 instead of -250. Also, it was obviously very possible for the bet to lose. 1 goal and the bet loses.

Maybe there's more than meets the eye. But the post-game void seems pretty specious.

Perhaps a fixed game? Look through oddsportal or a similar site and find a past scenario that lines up with yours, then check the odds to see if it's within the same ballpark.

I think players get those canned responses partly to make it easy and to avoid needing a manager to sign off wording every time they have a void. And from dealing with complaint cases, letting CS operators send explanations to players creates even more player angst sometimes. Especially when it's something that seems irrelevant to that player, like a spelling error. (but most books would tell any losing bettors complaining about the missing 'e' in Charlotte to get lost)
