    Bryant.

But they will keep both IMO.

big question is will the 1st round draft pick cornerback from LSU ever amount to anything?

Bryant. Last year was the first time Murray played 16 games. Enjoy the fact that you were able to have one year if full production from him. Traditionally running backs see regression after a 400+ carry season. If you have a good offensive line, you can find another adequate running back for the team. Let another team take the risk in this salary cap era.

Running backs are fed into a meat grinder like they are squirrels.

Bryant and Adrian Peterson replaces Murray. All the DFW talking heads believe it will be true if AP is reinstated sooner rather than later.

Any team that pays high dollar for Murray is insane. One career type year and the guy is going to be asking for top dollar when theoreticaly with the OL Dallas has, you should be able to plug and play any NFL starting caliber RB and have a solid rush game and pay maybe half of what Murray is going to want.

    Bryant no question.

No reason to invest big money in murray long term

A-peterson and lynch could be temporary bargains that would want to take less to play for a contender

I would take Peterson for a year or 2 over Murray and of course sign Bryant

    HE IS A MUST

Lynch is retiring most likely but if he does play it will be for Seattle.

Running backs are a dime a dozen yet no team has two good ones and most don't have one good one who can average 62.5 yards a game to get a 1000 yard season. Spare me the drama that running backs are a dime a dozen.

    double trouble?

    Deangelo williams and Johnathan Stewart

    hell Mike Tolbert too.

Panthers have 3 excellent RB's but they have the worst offensive line in the NFL.

They should have just paid one of those running backs and spent the rest of the money on a good offensive line

None of them are a top ten running back. Can't trade all three of them to get one good one. Terrible personnel management.

The WR is more of a commodity..any chum can run for 3 ypc behind a good O-line...Build your line and add Wr's to compliment Dez, the RB should be a bargain shop position, no need to shoot themselves in the foot by over-paying a guy who fumbles and will get hurt

    you got that right.

Panthers have so many holes to fill. Having 3 high paid running backs is crazy when the NFL is clearly a pass happy league.

If you want to win in todays NFL you either have to a great passing team ( Broncos, Patriots, Packers, ) or be a great pass defense team
    ( Seahawks)

IMO teams like the Buffalo Bills, St Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs have the right idea as far as how to build a team but all 3 of those teams need to a better performance from the QB position to take it to the next level.

BB did you hear about Denver possibly not wanting Manning back saying they could just fail him for various physical reasons.
Those teams you mentioned, Rams Bills and I'd put Texans there would all become contenders with a QB. Manning fits into a lot of teams puzzles, especially someone like the Texans who play indoors and in warmer states, have a great defense and RB, just need the QB..not to mention the division blows

i did not hear that about peyton manning. But yeah i think the Houston Texans would be a perfect fit for him.

Absolutely perfect! If they were to lock up home field advantage in the playoffs he would never have to go outside in the elements.

Hard to decipher what is fact and what is meant to be controversy-stirring media fodder but there are some teams not named Denver that would become favorites overnight if Manning were to sign. Can't see him playing in the NFC, but a dome team in a weak AFC division..that's hard to look past!

Dez...from a system and business standpoint. League has evolved into smaller salaries and lesser roles for quality RBs in recent years so won't be hard to entice another runner to come to Dallas with the revamped O Line Jerry has invested in. Des is a fan favorite, and while he's a clown show at times with his personality he's a good WR so he'll be kept for sure.

Only reason you don't pay Murray top dollar is injury history and Dallas' stupidity to overwork him this season

You'll get to see for yourself. DAL can't afford to keep him. Whoever replaces him will have at least those numbers.

Just like when Hambrick replaced emmitt smith. Of course you can put a warm body back there at a fraction of the cost and production.

Murray isn't Emmitt. DAL was terrible when Emmitt left. Even so, Hambrick did fill Emmitt's shoes for one year.

Personally, I hope some blown out tire like Trent Richardson goes there and leads the NFL in yards to prove my point.

Dallas rode Murray like he was emmitt Smith. So paying someone to be a warm body for one year is the answer when you have a 3-4 year window? Just get a ups driver or rent a cop if it's about saving money. But if the cowboys are talking super bowl then pay Murray like he is emmitt Smith

Overpaying is what got Dallas in the cap hell they've been dealing with for the last 5 years. I agree with Slacker00(which I'm sure will shock him) that there are a ton of backs that could run behind this offensive line and be productive enough. I like Murray, but this was a career year for him, hes been often injured, and fumble prone. Those two things don't seem likely to improve with a big money contract.

I doubt it, cutting Carr only frees up 8 million this year.
