I am a huge UNC fan. I am hopeful that the Heels will get it done, but they went to overtime on Saturday and
are banged up. UVA coming off of a tough loss, but I think that takes a little pressure off of them now that
they don't keep hearing about being undefeated. dook beat UVA with 3 pointers. That is not UNC strength.
If I had to bet the game, would have to pick UVA. UVA's defense is really good and I am skeptical that the
Heels can play their inside power game and/or hit enough outside shots to close the deal.

UNC doesn't hit 3s or attempt a whole lot. This is key. Duke hit circus 3s to win. VaTech launches a million 3s to stretch Virginia defense and open up the inside to drive. Tonight UVa goes back to its roots, clogging the interior and not letting the heels drive or get rebounds. This actually looks like a great matchup for the Hoos. 67-50 is my guess.

the 3s were a big part of the end of the gm run duke went on..in the 1st half it was duke's ability to get to the rim before uva could set up their d which was causing them problems..

Here's the thing with Louisville. IT's arguable that they are overrated. Their offense leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't compare them to UVA. UVA plays just as good of defense and has a better offense.

If they can play in transition and get into the lane before the Virginia D has a chance to set itself and clog up the middle, then UNC will have a lot of success and likely win this game. If they decide to play a half court game and end up settling for jump / perimeter shots, then they'll more than likely lose.

How this game is refresh will be telling I fan see UNC trying to to be a little mote physical, muddy the game up, get the ball down low, driving to hoop trying to draw fouls, they'll hope to get these calls at home, if decent success it will show more in 2nd half, I'm strongly considering Cavs 1st half, think they come out more focused of the two, prob win but half for me. UNC is at home but the are prone to mistakes and struggle against good defensive teams. Virginia is the best of defensive teams. Plus JJ is really touting UNC. Virginia PK it is.

Louisville is not a national power, good team but lack shooters. Actually, no stand out teams this year, lots of parity. Only team is Kentucky but they are very young and can be beat. Going to be a wild March.
I do think NC may be worth a play here if they play up tempo .

it really rare that you see that happen to uva and i would assume that been a point of emphasis.i have a hard time believing they have that same issue tonight.. i dunno, tough gm. i tend to agree with jtoler about uva 1st half as id expect a lot more focus from them early..
