    Guy on streak contest at 24

    Across the street, some guy is at 24 straight wins, took Portland -7 but was PPD.

    That's the highest I've ever seen someone get, glad he's taking their money; right now $25k

    Or will we see a complaint he didn't get paid on here in a week or two?

    i agree with this. maybe a grand or two on chicago off to the side but come on, the more you put on the other side the less 100k you win. you do the streak thing to win 100k.

    I guess I'm admittedly more frugal than others. I'd rather end up with $35k - $45k than only walk away with $25k - taxes.

    True. But this is the biggest streak Covers has ever seen since they started this thing some 15 years ago or so. There has been only 1 other person that has even broken 20 in the last few years. The odds of picking 25 in a row are over 33 million to 1.

    Last guy that won was Canadian. They don't pay taxes on prize winnings. Our country has a nice sweet deal. This guy does all the hard work and they step in and take a chunk doing nothing. Well they did give us the internet so i guess the guy wouldn't win anything if it wasn't for the Gov't

    i can see it now. The guy borrows 20 and puts 17 grand of his own money and flys to Vegas to hedge. He hedges and loses the money in Vegas but wins the 100 grand at Covers. Covers then comes up with some kind of loophole and won't give him anything. Guy is now broke with a buddy he owes 20 grand to.
