    If anything this is a risk. What if he hurts it worse? He could miss the rest of this season with this injury and still get paid big time.

    I think this is the wrong move. I think this decision shows just how worried the Blazers are, and how little trust they have in their bench.

    With the record they have, they can afford to lose Aldridge for 6-8 weeks. They are probably going to end up being a 6-8 seed with or without him.

    I think without him there is a decent chance they don't even make the playoffs.

    I'm not sure if they can definitely afford it but I think they have to take the risk. They can't win anything with him playing hurt unless it really doesn't affect him.

    Winning 3 series without homecourt and potentially not even getting in is a daunting prospect but it's surely better than going the whole way with an injured player.
