This. And unless good moves are made it is only going to get worse. Werth is aging,Zimmerman is a?, Spann and Desmond had career years. The only bat I feel good about on that team moving forward is Rendon.

They knew he was leaving anyway (wants to go home), perhaps trade him now and get something in return.

    Zimmerman to the Mariners?

Horrible contract but sounds like the Nats are going for it.

Basically locks them into the playoffs for 3 years.

Marlins will now need Shields if they want to win 90 games.

    that makes more sense.

Kid has good stuff but still leaves too many fastballs right down broadway about belt high....

He still to this day has not learned how to "pitch" he has always gotten by on his phenomenal stuff.

Max Scherezer on the other hand is a pitcher in every sense of the word.

Scherzer is a legitimate #1 starter and one of the top 3 pitchers in the world.

The other 2 being Clayton Kershaw and Madison Bumgarner.

Jose Fernandez is better than Bumgarner but Bumgarner has pitched more on a national stage.

Bumgarner is a bulldog. Guy is fearless and what i like about him is he doesnt seem to tire late in ball games.

He is a much better finisher than Kershaw even. Bumgarner is old school. He reminds me a lot of Nolan Ryan.
