    Recruiting rankings are the biggest joke in college football. They should rank them after 4 years. So many 5 stars busts and 2 stars who become All Americans.

    There is some stock in recruiting rankings. It's not the end all be all, but if I remember correctly 5 star players are more likely to make the NFL. That's kind of the duh comment of the day, but the rankings do have some merit.

    University of Georgia roster this season had 55 former 4* and 5* recruits this season. Georgia Tech had 4. Who won that game? Calvin Johnson was a 5* blue chip recruit... until he chose Georgia Tech. Then, all of a sudden he's a 4* player. It's all garbage. Just to sell subscriptions.

    Look at the teams in the playoff this year then look at their last 4 recruiting classes.
