I love his interviews. He's a football player, not a talking head, he does his talking with his legs on the field.

Is he supposed to read from some script or something? Most guys just memorize and spew cliches anyway.

i'd want to hear him answer football questions. i'd want to know how he felt about that amazing run. it would only help the league and himself out as a result.

I imagine that he actually wants to speak, but unfortunately he might be ostracized by his old community if he tried to come off as well spoken/educated. Many athletes from lower socio-economic backgrounds fear coming off as "too white" when talking to the media. They fear of being looked at as Uncle Toms.

Why is it such a big deal that Lynch doesn't want to talk to the media? The guy isn't a talker but since the league insist that he talks to them, he gives them half ass interviews. He gets paid to play football which he does very well. Quit tripping.

They have to play ball-control offense.
They have to establish their running game.
They have to stop the big play.
They need to dominate the line of scrimmage.
They have to pound it out on the ground.
They need to air it out more.
They have to open up the passing lanes.
They have to take care of the football.
They should just go out and execute.
They have to make plays on both sides of the ball.
They should go out there and play smash-mouth football.
They have to stick to their game plan.
They should throw their game plan out the window.
    Their secondary looks porous.
    They have dangerous deep threats.
The defense must make a stand.
They can't cough it up here.
Great blocking at the point of attack.
They're running it right up the gut.
He bulls his way for extra yardage.
    He's a bruising running back.
    He's overdue to break one.
He rumbled down the sideline for 30 yards.
He had to cut back against the grain.
    He couldn't turn the corner.
He shook off several would-be tacklers.
Nobody laid a glove on him.
You could have driven a truck through that hole.
He'll be buying dinner for the whole offensive line after this game.
There's a bunch for ya. It would be funny if a guy did an interview only doing John Madden cliches. LOL

professional athletes have media obligations. it's part of the whole package of being a professional athlete. that's why they can get fined for not speaking to media. do your job, all of it.

TwoWays you are right, he should have put it in his contract.

Are media obligations part of NFL's rules, or can it be negotiated in contract?

Every postgame player interview I've ever heard is gibberish. I don't know what you want from him.

Sherman's interview is mostly cliche's. I'd even argue that when he says, "Crabtree's my bitch." is getting cliche. LOL

It would be great if he never talked, ate the nfl fines, then published his memoirs in a 5 disc audio book narrated by him and released 1 disc per year

I liked during one interview, he dropped the name of his charity. He could do stuff like that, help a good cause.
