Any other week, I’d take Ravens w/o hesitation but there are two x-factors that make me not want to touch this game: 1) Joe Cool is back to play against his old team and 2) coming off a huge shocking loss at the last secs. Don’t know how hype Flacco will be and don’t know how Ravens will respond.

Madison, you said you already have your season mapped out? If you wouldn't mind positing what you are thinking each for each week that would be appreciated? I have only really looked at the first 4-6 weeks so far but might try to map out the entire season here in the coming days.
You can plan all you want but you must have alternatives if QB's/Important players get hurt. Understanding the ebbs and flows of the season is prime to surviving a bigger pool.

You might be correct on both but better options are available IMHO, good luck.
That might have been true at the beginning, but not after JV came along.

I think Packers are a solid pick. At home, the Packers are 39-12 since Matt LaFleur took over as the franchise’s head coach. I also like Dolphins as my dark horse but too nervous to select them. Tua is undefeated against the Patriots with 7-0 record.

Given that, Ravens are off the table for me this week. The two that stick out a bit to me are Arizona and Dallas and will 90% pick one of those 2 and leaning Dallas at the moment.

In general, I try to avoid division games and rarely take road teams.

That said, I might go with Dallas this week but the division game scares me a little.

After further review, Arizona got quite lucky to beat Saints last week. Saints were in the red zone 6 times and only scored 13 points.

Let's go, Padres. The Royals are cooked, but hung tough after the loss of Cole Ragans.
Get it done, Jake. I'm rooting for them; that team is pretty easy to root for.
I hear your point on saving teams but I like to have a bit of a gameplan whilst looking ahead. I get that it does not matter if you lose whilst trying to save teams but feel like there are some other decent options this week.

Padres will likely make the playoffs(it would take an absolute collapse not to) but I'm keeping my expectations very low. They are so streaky this year and feel like they can literally lose to anyone when cold and beat anyone when hot. Hopefully they get hot during the playoffs but the NL is a murderer's row and feel like any of the teams could make the WS and it would not surprise me.

The Sox are *stacked* with youth; they're in a great position going forward.
The Roman Empire is 100 percent legit, Crochet has a rocket for an arm, and I finally bowed out, finishing in second place in the semi-finals in a very tough Best Ball league, without Crochet (who I drafted in the seventh round), I don't even sniff the playoffs.

Now, if the empty suits in the front office leave everything alone, they're set up nicely.
Devers was a cancer; jettisoning him was the right play. I wish they still had Mookie, but they couldn't pay him what LA did, but that's on the front office because they could have paid Betts if it weren't for previous bad contracts.
It looks like the John Henry group finally got it right.

OK, I'm drifting off topic here, back to NFL football talk, I'll set up an MLB playoff discussion topic in a week or two.

Gentlemen, I'm a 15+ year survivor. The strategies are endless. I have my entire season already mapped out.

    Size of your pool?
FV of your early season picks i.e. BAL/BUF this week have +++ FV.
I'm AZ, DAL, BAL. I have 8 entries out of 1250 total. Winner take all. With that thought I'm in a second pool that pays 8 ways of 40K. So strategies vary.

Anyway, check out Team Rankings and Doc Sports has a sharp guy with great insight.

    BOL!!

    NFL 2025 Survivor talk

Ten games have lines of 4.5 or less.
    Very tricky week.

Do you go with the 'safe pick' Ravens at -11.5, or are you getting 'cute' and playing a live dog?
I survived week 1 and am going with the 'safe play' Ravens.

Far from me to tell others how to wager. But I learned years ago that cute doesn't cut it in Survivor.
What good is it if you're saving the Ravens for a future week if you're knocked out in week 2?

I love Survivor; there are several strategies to use to get to the finish line.
