Love the educated input. Hopefully those regulars who may get eliminated stay engaged. I know tough to do as I've been eliminated late last 4 of 5 years, and the disappointment can pop the balloon.

Agree Az, DET. Are we ready to trust IND vs a relatively fiesty LV??? Saving IND for week 8 vs TEN.

I almost talked myself down off of Detroit for NE.
    It all worked out.

That very same thought crossed my mind twice already, and my mind is flooded today, and it's only Monday. lol

I'm not overthinking anything here; overthinking things gets you into trouble, trust me on that: Cards or bust.

I guess touting my own book, but this just smelled to me. Folks not looking at the schedule (ebbs and flows) of the emotions.

"LAC ... Just played 3 divisional opponents (super focused). Cross country and may be a little flat."

For the record I'm 6/8 with 1 pick DEN tonight to be 7/8. FYI guy with 50 picks has already lost 33 or so. Has DEN tonight for circa 8 so he'll be about even with me after 4 weeks. Trying to overwhelm a pool is very tricky and subject to a very long conversation.

So far I have used Denver, Dallas, Seattle and Houston...
Ditto, I spent the Broncos in week 1.
To be honest, I wanted Detroit off my plate. They've regressed. I didn't think they'd choke against the Brownies.
Same with 'Zona this week, sure they're vulnerable, but if they can't beat Tenn. next week, at home, then I deserve to get knocked out.

If the Cards get it done next week, then the fun begins. I have plenty of 'big boy' teams in my pocket.

Arizona is my play next weekend. They're tough in the desert, and they host as soft as cream cheese Tennessee Tuxedos.
    If not now, when?
    Cards!

I’ve used all the heavy hitters, except Chiefs who I’m saving for Thanksgiving/Black Friday period. Next week I gotta pick teams that I’m not 100% confidence. But looks like either Vikings against Browns or Colts against Raiders look solid wins.

Looks like Stingley is active for the Texans which is what I was waiting to see. I feel pretty good about the Texans D putting forth a great effort today. There is always a concern but the big one I have today is Titan's DT, Jeffrey Simmons. Texans oline has issues and Simmons can wreck games by himself from time to time.

    Good luck today fellas

Totally agree. It’s such an antiquated way of playing this game. I’m in a huge survivor pool and I use line movements up until kickoff to make a lot of my decisions. When the pick is due in Thursday that angle goes out the window.

Detroit or Buffalo are needed next week, week 5 in my opinion. If you can avoid using them this week I think you’ll thank yourself. The bye week starts next week and that’s when things get really interesting in survivor. If they haven’t already, I think a lot of people will be burning buff and det this week and next.

It's a risky play no doubt but as you eluded to earlier, there is not really another obvious week to use them going forward. At 0-3 and at home, this is a must win game for Houston which is why I am looking so closely at it. The oline is a major concern but feel like the defense will put in a great effort here and Stingley playing or not is probably the deciding factor for me.

I have AZ and Dallas in the bank as well so looking to offload a few more of these turds before I start using the top teams.

Sometimes the square play is the right play.
Size of ones pool and number of picks means a TON!! Smaller pool survive. Larger pools FV.

    Buf/Det/Hou ... already spoken about.
NE ... has knocked me out (On the verge of big $ 2 of the last 4 years by winning) Last at PIT late. 5 TO's last week. Nemesis for me. Tough for me to give away a pick with them.
DEN ... Looks like the play. Like see the QB wake up a bit. Used them week 1 for 6/8 my 8 picks.
LAC ... Just played 3 divisional opponents (super focused). Cross country and may be a little flat. top 5 team for me right now.
MIA ... Internal issues. QB???. DEF ???, Not for me.
GB ... too many other good spots.

    BOL to all!!!

Denver at home MNF vs. Bengals. If Broncos can't make this a W then my exit is on them, not me.

My strategy is to try and never get cute with pics (meaning taking what I deem a 2nd or 3rd best selection easier future matchup) and ALWAYS accept a shared pot when offered. Over the years I've done pretty well. Always fun.

** also it's still September, there are likely still some sneaky good/bad teams that haven't shown themselves yet.
