Coach Beamer took a shit team in the early 90s and made them a house hold name. Of course they are not among the college elite in name, but they aren't to far behind. Beamer is a lock for the hall of fame. However, it is time for him step to the side and let a younger guy come in and lead the team. The team is young and talented so a new coach could win right away. The kids no longer respond to the coach and his staff.


Coach, thanks for all you have done. Please do the right thing and enjoy the games from your retirement ranch.

Penn State tried that with Paterno for over 10 years and the old geezer wouldn't go until he brought down the entire University....the guy got so powerful "within" all the administrators were afraid of him because of the cash the football program brought in. Not sure how much cash the football program brings in at Tech, but I would bet it's a pretty penny (Not that Beamer has done anything wrong on any level)
