The Cowboys were who we thought they wereUm, McCoy beating these pretenders is impressive but to declare him the future QB of the Redskins really? He made a lot of bad throws, while completing a lot of lucky one's. Cousin is still a much better QB except for his untimely picks. The Skins are talented offensively.

honestly, we know it's colt's job to lose now. trade rg3 for a pick and 5 dollar off coupon at subways. guy is not made for the nfl. colt got the goods. i mean, going into big d and beating dallas. guy is legit.

I'd love to see the dumbass team who would trade for griffin.

People need to stop calling him RG3 also.

Robert is a world class sprinter and very good athlete. He cannot be an NFL QB unless he sits in the pocket and wins from there. He is frail, period. Not happening.

Did you see the film of "RG3"' in practice ? He's going to start.
The owners feel like they have to get their money's worth. At the
very least I bet Snyder is hoping to showcase "RG3" for trade bait.

    RG3 is too tempermental

He gets upset when there is any pressure, because he is not a good pocket passer and while he is fast, he is not fast enough to outrun these NFL linebackers constantly without getting killed

he still thinks the offense he had on Baylor is a typical NFL offense, with an offensive line that gives him 25 seconds in the pocket

and gives him running holes big enough for him to hop scotch for 15 easy yards while avoiding college linebackers who went undrafted and are now waiting tables at Applebees

I do not understand why the sports media and scouts completely hype up these black quarterbacks who have amazing college stats, primarily rushing, when they have great offensive lines and go up against slow crappy defense

it has been proven time and time again a scrambling QB cannot cut it in the NFL

they do not make good decisions because the thought to scramble is always a priority on their mind, and it doesn't work when you go up against beastly linebackers. It hinders their ability to pass in the pocket, and makes them become injury prone, turnover machines, or just ineffective

this applies to white QBs also (like Tebow) who are primarily used to scrambling and using read option plays, but it is mostly applicable to black QBs because their coaches want to utilize their speed (since blacks are naturally more athletic than whites)

Athletic QBs in college utilize their athleticism in college foremost, which stunts their ability to develop a good pocket passing game

you need a tall, pocket passing QB who makes good decisions and has some mobility (i.e Andrew Luck) to be successful in the current NFL landscape. The QB can be shorter if they have a rocket for a brain and a rocket for an arm (Drew Brees)

Blacks can be good QBs, but they do not get to develop a pocket passing game in college because their ability to scramble will be very effective against college defenses

Russel Wilson is the only current exception, but he is half black and had a stud defense backing him when he can't put up any points

African Americans are athletes first, they do not utilize their mind the same way a Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck, Tom Brady would. They are poor at reading defenses and making quick decisions with their brain

shit is retarded on so many levels.... don't have time to respond to all this nonsense but if you look at the trend of QBS in the NFL now and the kids coming up your pocket QB Is a dying theory.... Brees, brady, manning, etc etc are all on their way out and mobile/Black QBs will replace them.

there are 2 relatively effective scrambling QBs (Wilson and Kaep) in the NFL, and they have been successful primarily because they have been hiding behind good receivers and a stud defense the last few years who keep them in close games when they can't throw the ball worth a shit. (they also aren't fully black, but that is irrelevant, my main point is about college scrambling/read option QBs) ... TRENT DILFER won a superbowl behind the ravens defense

who are the others? you would take them over:

    Rivers?
    Rodgers?
    Manning?
    Tony Romo?
    Brees?
    Brady?
    Roethselshamburger?
    Andrew Luck?

even guys like Dalton, Palmer, Flacco, Fitzpatrick, Alex Smith (not really a pocket passer though), the list goes on

you can even go into the third tier with guys like Austin Davis, Blake Bortles, Jake Locker, etc, etc etc

where are all these successful NFL black/scrambling QBs you speak of???

and don't say Cam Newton, I live outside of Charlotte and watch every Panthers game. If anything, Cam Newton is a liability when throwing the ball. And he doesn't even really scramble anymore because he is always hurt, bad ankle, ribs, etc, etc...His only winning record year was last year when the defense was top 3 in the NFL.

in the last 10 years there has been 1, Sam Bradford, who has been injured most of the time

the heisman trophy is a joke. RG3 won it over Andrew Luck, that says it all

there aren't many effective pocket passers in college football who get the opportunity to play on good teams in good programs because it is much easier to recruit an athletic QB who can pass when he has to and can hide behind a great offensive line

good luck with Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota (who I actually like) in this year's draft. they will be busts

yeah come on lets be realistic, rushing qbs will never replace pocket passing qbs, if you think that maybe you should first read about what american football is

there is already someone on the team to rush with the ball, he is called a running back

a good team needs a good passing game and a good rushing game, if your quarterback is better at rushing rather than passing that means you are week at a very important aspect of an american football offence, which means you are not a good team

you need balance to have a good team

just look at the two poster boys for rushing qbs, Vick and RGIII

just decide already, you want to be a qb or an rb? if you want both then good luck hunging around the hospital the rest of your career, and you can forget about winning a superbowl

ugh, another QB race debate. How about racist NFL owners catering rules to advance white QBs over black CBs?
