Peyton Manning is to Tom Brady just as Clayton Kershaw is to....

    Madison Bumgarner.

It's the perfect example. Think it over.

    Boom.

I'll give Kershaw one more postseason before I declare him a choke artist. He's not Peyton Manning level choke artist yet.

Kershaw's postseason numbers are worse than Manning's.

At least Peyton has a ring.

You're right though, he's still young.

Not even comparable Manning always on the big stage which is very difficult to get to all the time and football

He should've been in the Super Bowl two years ago but bad defense of plays lost it

Sounds right to me. Only difference is Kershaw may never get a ring.

Clay Kershaw one of 3 best pitchers I've seen in my lifetime, better than Pedro when he was at his nastiest.

Clayton and Peyton (even their names rhyme!) are great during the regular season. Phenomenal, really.

When the intensity revs up and everything is on the line, that's when you want Brady and Bumgarner.

Pedro was better than Kershaw..Not only did Pedro light it up in big reg season games but he also was great in the playoffs.
    That means everything

I get the gist of the analogy

but in full review, it fails for me because IMO, Kershaw and Bummy are so young and might not go down as top 10 all time greats in their sport

i don't like the analogy. IMO Kershaw pitched well enough to win in both games. Coach left him in too long in both cases.

if the Dodgers had swung the bats better they would have won all of his starts.

Bummy has a LONG way to go before he can enter that conversation of top 10 all time. A LONG WAY to go. IMO as of right now he is not even mentioned in that conversation.

Tim Lincecum has won more cy youngs.

do you realize that even if the giants never make it to the world series again he will be forever remembered as the best picher at this stage with min 25IP?

while i agree he can't be considered an all time great overall, the kid is only 25. barring injuries he will keep on performing like a stud.

he is the BEST, i repeat, THE BEST SP performer in the world series history.

didn't the dodgers score like 9 runs in one of the games he pitched? including 6 while he hadn't yet been pulled?
