    Why don't we just give people food, clothing, and homes while we're at it? Why give anyone any incentive to work whatsoever... isn't everyone ENTITLED to a good life from the government?

    You do realize that communism failed miserably don't you? If we don't learn from history we're doomed to repeat it. Us humans have proven to be lazy creatures who will do the least possible to get by... without incentive to work we won't and the country will crumble.

    it'll just be gov. health insurance that you still have to pay for.
    no actual hospital for us to go to. I just put a band aid on everything and pray I don't croak suddenly one day.

    Medical industry has too much clout for free hospitals to ever be a reality. I'm moving to Toronto.

    This is a license for insurance companies to rob this country blind just like Bush gave the oil companies free reign to rob us blind. If they could run health care with not for profit co-ops it might work, otherwise it is doomed to failure.

    It is what it is... I worked hard to get where I'm at and I have to pay for someone who doesn't take care of themselves health care?

    Yes, ask them how they like it. Many come to the United States for care because theirs is sub par. I refuse to go to a doctor that is given to me. I will go where I feel is best for me.
