Mirage sports book question for the Vegas guys

In town for a week do to the wife being here for a convention. We have always watched games at the Mirage book which we did again last night, but the waitress situation there sucked last night. I had 10 drink coupons and still have 6 left which are useless today. They only had one girl working the floor and she couldn't be found most of the night .

What's better book to go watch games at, when I lay a couple grand in action I would like to get waitress service, and yes we tip a few bucks a drink so that wasn't the problem, there really just wasn't server around the time we were there.

So what's a better book within walking distance of the Mirage, are Caesars,Flamingo,Venetian any better for service? We have never had any problems like this at the Mirage before, so was it just do to it being a Tuesday night it was pretty slow last night.

Why cant you just pay for the drinks?? I mean if you are betting $1000 per game, don't worry about some damn drink coupons

If you need walking distance from Mirage then Ceasers is your place. Last time I was there I tipped the waitress 5 bucks and she was on my nuts every 10 minutes. Nicest book in that area of the strip IMO.

Yea we could do that, the whole trip minus wagers is picked up by the wife's company, but wtf if I'm sitting there for 3 hours I'd like to see the server more than twice regardless of who is paying.

The remodeling is complete and the book is far the worse for it.

Try using the drink tickets at the bar closest to the book; they'll probably take them.

The only construction I see is something being done right before you enter the forum shops area. The book has no work being done that I see also not many people in it . Actually Vegas as a whole is pretty quiet, compared to other times I've been.

Drink service in Las Vegas is done. I have not gotten a drink there for years. I don't drink alcohol anyway. So will just go to Seattle's best and get Coffers when im at the south point or stuff like that.

I was playing at Wynn last weekend, and had decent service. Plus a four figure bet won't make them blink. Also went to Caesars and Ballys. Both were ok, with Bally's being a little old, but good service, and Caesars was ok on both fronts.

I was at Treasure Island last weekend, didn't have any drink tickets and got free drinks on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I'd check it out there. It's a pretty small book, but it's tough to beat free drinks and the waitress came around pretty often.

I stay at Wynn and i also bet a few grand a game. They will give you drink tickets and if you run out just go back up to the teller and show your tickets and they will give you more. Be friendly with the writers and give a $5-$10 tip and they will take care of you.

if you're going to tip $10 you might as well just walk 10 steps over to the bar and buy it
