Is it just me... Or are sports boring to watch until you bet on one.
My whole life I've found sports to be incredibly boring. Until recently a friend dragged me into betting on games I found watching even the Superbowl felt like a bit of a waste of time.
When I introduce betting, the game comes alive and I can't keep myself away from looking at the score board.
This could be just me, or do others feel this way too?

What makes it boring is the constant TV stoppages. It's more fun TIVOing the game and skip through commercials and huddle time. You can watch a football game in 30 minutes if you skip through the garbage.
Shooting up, TIVOing, all great ideas to making it more interesting. lol

sports i need to bet to watch: hockey, soccer
sports i dont watch even if bet: golf, nascar
sports i watch whether i bet or not: football, basketball, baseball

for me as a kid i loved sports but now with espn turning into TMZ and the lack of loyalty teams and players show toward each other has really turned me off.My whole life I've found sports to be incredibly boring. That being said if i'm drinking and or betting on games i still like sports, but the whole key is havig a dog in the fight.
i used to be a san francisco giants fan hardcore i was such a big fan i could honestly watch 2 Giants games a day and not be bored at all....
but seeing how they treated Barry Bonds and how they tried to distance themselves from him when the steroid allegations came about really made me hate the Giants and hate MLB for several years.
i mean the Giants would still be playing at Candlestick if it wasnt for Barry Bonds and its so disrespectful and classless for the Giants to take down his banners in left field etc....He built that ballpark!!!!

not true i could be glued to the tv hanging on to every moment watching something as boring as Tennis or grass hopper racing or bad mitton or even golf if i have cheese on it.
The major sports now like baseball and football are becoming harder to watch and a lesser-known sports are becoming more popular to watch

there is nothing like yelling at my girl to stfu while i watch the end of an arkansas pine bluff +19.5 game and they are losing by 20 and the announcers are talking about the star of the game and the cameras are on some good player from the good team, or on the fans, etc. and i am on a totally different page concerned about if they let fukking pine bluff score a meaningless bucket but then they take a time out to discuss things and go to commercial so i go back to talking to my girl for a minute, but then oh shit here is the end of the game again, stfu stephanie i can't concentrate
does anybody actually watch a game without either a monetary or emotional (favorite team, etc.) investment?
My life revolved around sports as a kid until I discovered booze/pussy. Now I barely even care about the games I bet.
