they should try to get butch jones. VERY good coach that coached in michigan before. He is the best coach that has been associated with uc. This includes urban, john harbaugh, both ryan boys, dantonio and kelly (n.d.)

Harbaugh is too big of an arse hole for Michigan. It will be Miles because his welcome has run out at LSU. Back when the voters were deciding things and only LSU, Alabama, and Florida were threats in the SEC, he wouild never leave. Now add A&M, Auburn, both Mississippi's, Georgia, South Carolina and Missouri, and Miles is finished in the South. His recruiting gets worse and worse, as proven by his inability to get any quality offensive players.

The voters are still deciding it only now it's the top 4 they'll choose not just the top 2. Same thing as before just pushed out 2 more teams

Harbaugh is the best fit for the job. Played for Bo Schembechler, kinda coach's like him. He's about the only one that could get U of M off the mat. Hoke is like Fred Flintstone out there, may not last the year. Harbaugh is the last guy that Sparty, and the OSU butt-nuts want to see at Michigan. I known the fans, and alumni want Harbaugh. He is made for this job.

They should have made him coach before he went to Stanford. But Lloyd Carr had to have his last year. As for the NFL he could always go back. Look at Pete Carroll. GO Blue, fuk state, and state.

LOL, it isn't the 90's anymore. Ohio State has owned Michigan for more than a decade now. I don't think they are worried about Michigan. No matter who they hire. And as long as Dantonio is in East Lansing, I highly doubt MSU is worried either.

The rebuilding process at Michigan is going to take years. It's hard to comeback from 2 complete flop hires back-to-back.

Saban is one of the 3 greatest coaches in College football history.

Also comparing the Bama job to the Michigan job is laughable.

GL to Michigan on finding another Saban.

I thought Michigan made a huge mistake passing up on Brian Kelly several years ago. They need a splash hire.

I think Jim Harbaugh is very realistic. It's no secret he's been at odds with ownership in San Fran and was almost traded to Cleveland last year. Things are a bit messy there and it might be a good opportunity for him to opt out.

Firing Hoke will not make a difference. Michigan will always lose the games they are suppose to win. This has happened last several decades.

Harbaugh is a big name. Kids want to play for him. Of course they don't want Harbaugh at Michigan. These rivalries run in cycles. State and State will be on the losing side sooner or later. If its Harbaugh, it will be sooner. Then we can all say its not 2000 anymore.

Not sure where I've misspoken. Polls and a 9 person committee will decide who the 4 teams are. The 9 people will refer to the polls for a good portion of their personal rankings and info into deciding who the 4 teams are that go. Human fingerprints are all over this new "playoff"

In post #43 you said: "...Back when the voters were deciding things...".

The voters have been deciding things in college football since the advent of the polls if not the sport itself. you are implying that the participants in the 4 team playoff will be something outside of the voters' influence.

    that is incorrect.

the 9 person committee that chooses the 4 teams will use the polls as a reference/basis, and look what i just said: "the 9 person committee that chooses the 4 teams....."

human fingerprints will still be all over the playoff just like the BCS and just like pre-BCS from 1997 and prior.
