Georgia pissed this one away in astonishing fashion. Couple assists from the zebras helped. Why they always get fancy pants inside the 10 is beyond me

A few bad calls against SCAR as well....We did get more the benefit though...Still, UGA can only blame themselves...Seems like both teams are pretty even, UGA a little better talent SC better coaching

SCAR own them Dawgs...4 of the last 5

Congrats on the W. Will be hard pressed to find a more exciting game this year.

Owned? SCar has to win for the next 40 years to even the series. Spurrier owns Richt tho...

Thanks it was a great game and UGA is certainly still alive to win it all

You're right...SC owns them lately with Spurrier but overall we don't have a good history...Same with Clemson

best thing that couldve happened for a uga title win is losing this game

the less big games we have to win, the better

    fukk me

i wonder what it feels like to graduate from a school that wins???

whats it like to cheer for a school that has defensive backs that don't get caught with drugs, start fights in class, carry around weapons, try to double cash checks, and can actually cover someone.

Richt's MO is good offense, bad defense, shitty special teams. Same ole same ole today

Sucks that we lost the game to the refs at the end there. Not that we really deserved to win it - force a turnover and start 1st and goal at the 4 yard line and can't even at least make a game-tying field goal - but what a horrible way to lose. The refs will surely be fined and reprimanded when the NCAA realizes they blew that first down call. You could clearly see space between the tip of the ball and the end of the chain. Had they gotten that right it would've been our ball at midfield, though I'm sure we would've fumbled, thrown an interception, or missed a field goal to end up losing anyway. Still sucks to lose it on a horrible call like that...

In hindsight though, it's better to lose now earlier in the season than later. I still think we'll win the East and at least have a shot at making the playoff by playing for the SEC Championship game.

SC has won 3 of the last 4 meetings against UGA with similar talent on both ends....Spurrier outcoaches Richt/UGA more often than not

Also, OP is right in that it's a really hard place to play....Texas A&M snapped the longest home winning streak in the nation

Should be a slugfest as usual

The holding call on the Gurley td run was atrocious. If that was a hold there's no such thing as a legal block. That was a game changer. Refs actually called a pretty good game though. They didn't win or lose the game. How about having someone within 20 yards of the receiver in the first half or not get fancy pants syndrome on 1st and 4 on the goal line? At the very least make a chip shot fg.

Not it sure how anyone can think UGA has a chance of winning the East after this. Maybe not even SC for that matter considering their schedule. Looks like its Missouri again.

I was going to say the early phantom holding call may have been the worst part - that td not only would've opened the game up and given Gurley that much more confidence, it clearly would've shifted momentum and morale to our side. That honestly could've been the difference in Gurley starting to run away with the game like he did against Clemson.

As for Mizzou, I don't know if you've seen them play much this year but they are much worse than last year - that defense will give up a LOT of points, and the offense isn't nearly as explosive. They've gotten lucky so far in that they've started their games very poorly (turnovers, etc.) but have capitalized on mistakes of their opponents in the 2nd halves. The score lines for their games are very deceiving and do not accurately reflect how close they actually were. All it takes is a decent team that doesn't make mistakes to stand them up - they can't always rely on their opponents screwing up to come back in games they've started poorly.

Lol good point, but I still don't think Mizzou wins it this year. I do believe they have the best chance after us though. SC will lose at least two more conference games, and it's pretty obvious Florida won't win the division. Will be fun to see it all plays out though!

I think it's a real toss up at this point between SC, UGA, Mizzou....Can't see anyone else doing it

SC gets Mizzou at home in a few weeks.....Mizzou gets UGA at home.......Mizzou will have to play @ Texas A&M and UGA/SCAR both play Auburn late in the season

Every other conference game they all play they should be favored in but of course any given week if you don't bring it against an SEC squad you could easily get knocked off
