Is this one in the worst beat of the year category?
Dodgers/Nationals under 7.5.
2-0 Dodgers heading into the 9th.
Top of the 9th, the Nationals take a 3-2 lead.
Bottom of the 9th, two outs, and Jayson Werth dropped a fly ball allowing the tying run to score.
3-3 headed to extras. There is still life...
Top of the 12th, Nationals score two. The dagger firmly planted.

Extras. Sox take lead in 10th, Jays tie in bottom. 12 Inning jays walk it off. Two run shot. 13-11
Many in attendence heard the second half of the game on the radio driving home after leaving the game.

I had a worse beat than that. Forget the year but had the Mariners when they blow a 12-0 lead in a Sunday night game in Cleveland.
I think we can agree than any 10+ run beat is pretty much as bad as it gets.
Definitely one of the worst baseball beats of the year.

Worst beat is having the under 2.5 in soccer and have 3 goals scored in injury time.

one of the worst beats ever was the OSU/Northwestern game last year... Buckeyes cover on the last play, kickoff and lateral results in Bucks TD and they cover

My personal worst was Auburn/FSU Nat'l title. Had Auburn ML on last leg of 3 parlays to turn $17.50 into over $43K... not that bad of a beat, but really a gutwrenching way to lose life-changing money

I had Astros ML and the under in that game against the A's when the A's scored a TD in the top of the 9th... that sucked too

The Werth dropped flyball makes you have to consider it but I still say no.

You had the Phillipines to beat China and on their match point, Aubrey on the Phillipines accidentally shit in his pants and had to be escorted to the washroom. You still believed the match to be done once Aubrey would return but Kum from China refused to continue claiming that shitting your pants infront of someone in China is seen as the lowest form of disrespect in their culture. The Chinese judges ruled in Kum's favor and Aubrey was suspended and handed the loss. You told me you didnt sleep for days after that. Was this worse??

I had the wrong side there too. How bout many many yrs ago, wanna say 1989, Providence & Oklahoma I believe were the two teams in an NIT hoops game. Providence UP 9 with under 1:00 to play & they r GETTING double digits!! Oklahoma goes ahead & rallys the last minute to send the game to OT where they promptly win by 11 for the cover!!
