Oregon a 2td fave over Mich St, really?

Is Oregon that good? The ole home field is worth a td saying means they'd be a td fave at Mich State?

Think lines a bit too high. Especially if Oregon run defense isn't any better than last Saturday night

I think that is too high also. Oregon struggles against physical ball control teams. Michigan State plays exactly like Stanford. I'd definitely take MSU and the points.

ur right they struggle against good spread teams like Ohio State last year, o wait..... Oregon does well against power teams like Stanford, o wait..... Line is a gift, If Oregon wins its by single digits. Line is already moving towards Mich State and it will continue to all week long

Being a Big ten fan and having a bias towards this game, I think the line is about right. 13 pts is where it's going to be. Take the OSU vs MSU out of the picture. Neutral game in Indy playing for the B1G championship, MSU had a great advantage heading into this game.

Now on MSU vs Oregon, they do have a killer defense, and their offense is light years ahead of where they were last year, but I think it's going to be tough for MSU to go to Eugene and keep the momentum on defense. Once Oregon scores and has a 10pt or 14 pt lead, I don't think MSU can handle the pressure with the Ducks fans, momentum of Oregons offense, etc, etc. It might be close the 1st half, but could break open in the 2nd.

I am staying away from this game, but I do think the line is about right. If I would bet, I would take Oregon - money line. One thing about Big ten teams in OOC away from home - they lose.

I think the line is solid. I could see Oregon winning by 20+ or a close one and they win late but don't cover. Now the line reader in me that has never had success says the books want you to think the line is so big that Oregon must blow them out, so MSU covers. Good luck on this one fellas. I'm gonna watch a good one and not flip a coin back and forth in my head. Oregon wins though.

They had a killer D last season, but after losing 6 starters including Dennard and Bullough it remains to see how good they can be this season.

    This.

A lot of MSU's defense is based on reads. Without Bullough, on the road, against the best offense in the country ... I know their D is going to be solid and better by the week, but this seems too early to handle this kind of challenge for the "new" quarterbacks of that defense.

Narduzzi helped construct the No. 1 defense in the Big Ten for the third consecutive year in 2013. The Spartans led the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision in total defense for 13 straight weeks and finished the season ranked No. 2 in the FBS, allowing just 252.2 yards per game. MSU was the only school to rank in the top three in the four major defensive stat categories: No. 2 in total defense, No. 2 in rushing defense (86.6 ypg.), No. 3 in scoring defense (13.2 ppg.) and No. 3 in pass defense (165.6 ypg.). In addition, the Spartans led the FBS in pass efficiency defense (92.3 rating) and ranked No. 2 in opponent third-down conversions (.279) and No. 5 in first-downs defense (14.3 pg). MSU's defense allowed just 4.04 yards per play, which also ranked No. 1 in the FBS.

Michigan State led the Big Ten in nine defensive stat categories, including total defense and rushing defense for the third year in a row. Since the Big Ten awarded conference stat champions in 1985 for overall games, MSU is the first team to win three straight titles in total defense and rushing defense.
Narduzzi was named the winner of the 2013 Frank Broyles Award, which is awarded annually to the nation's top assistant coach. He is the first MSU coach to win the award, which started in 1996. Narduzzi also was named the national defensive coordinator of the year by FootballScoop.

Since 2011, Michigan State's defense has been one of the most consistent in the FBS. The Spartans are one of just four schools, along with Alabama, Florida and Florida State, to rank among the FBS Top 10 in total defense the past three seasons. In addition, Michigan State and Alabama are the only teams to rank in the FBS Top 11 the past three years in total defense, scoring defense, rushing defense and passing defense.

Sounds like he has listened to so called ESPN experts or maybe he is hoping so that less than solid Ohio St team has a chance at winning conference

Did you watch Oregon play vs Stanford the last two years? They are a soft spread team that can't stop the run on defense.

Do any of you people in here follow football? Do any of you wager on it? I really have my doubts because if you did, you would have known that Oregon has been a 13 point Favorite over Michigan State since JUNE 13th. I am glad to see that you people follow the lines so closely. And you guys consistantly lose your arses and can't figure out why. Being suprised at the line only shows your complete and total ignorance of College Football and how to wager on it. Now I know that most of you do not actually wager at all. You just need a place to shoot your mouth off. Bear, and his brilliant statement about Oregon always going for 2, which is totally wrong, (but what do you expect out of Bear), is a perfect example of what you get in here. Bear, just get the hell out of the CFB thread like you said you were going to do. Gosh are some of you people bad. Just plain stupid.
