San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald was arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of felony domestic violence, NBC Bay Area reported.
McDonald was booked into Santa Clara County Jail and no bail was allowed, according to the Santa Clara Department of Correction records.
Sources told NBC Bay Area reporter Damian Trujillo that McDonald’s alleged victim is pregnant.

Last week, NFL commissioner sent a letter to all 32 NFL teams announcing harsher penalties for any league employee in response to incidents of domestic violence. Now, a first offense will result in a six-game suspension. A second offense will result in a lifetime ban.
Goodell was roundly criticized for his decision to suspend Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice for just two games at the start of the regular season.
Rice pleaded not guilty to a third-degree charge of aggravated assault stemming from an incident in February with his then-fiance. Rice avoided trial by being accepted into a pretrial intervention program in May.
