    He can only get money back from this point on. Not the team.

    Separately, Donald Sterling may still fight a legal battle against the NBA. However, if Sterling is to prevail against the NBA in a lawsuit, it will have no effect on the sale of the Clippers, which will already be controlled by Ballmer.     he bought them for 12.5M. and no, nobody in his position would want to take $2B. of course that seems crazy for us normal people but dude already is worth a few billion and once you get that much $ you don't really care what more money can get you, you just want to win at anything you do which is why Microsoft guy is paying so much in the first place. plus on sterling's side how would he not feel the team is apart of him doing it for so long.
