As for this game, i do not really agree that Germany has the better team on paper currently, especially if you look to current form players are in. Hopefully France has Sakho back for friday aswell.

Well there are many scenarios where each team loses. France could lose because of the following:
1- playing Giroud as main Striker and putting Benzema on the side
2- playing the Germany game where they get exhausted till the end then they get outplayed

Germany could lose because of the following:
1- playing Ozil and Gotze
2- injuries concerns Hummels and Schweinsteiger
3- not solving the issue of slow retreat of the Germans on counter attacks

This game could go anyway, so the bookies are right to think that there is an equal chance for each team

A player winning a World Cup managing a team is not a good omen when playing Germany. Maradona's Argentina was thrashed 4-0 in the quarter-finals in the last WC. But I do agree that where Lahm plays in the next game will be a important factor. Play him at midfield, he will be bulldozed by Pogba and Matuidi. I'd disagree strongly on France vs Nigeria. Nigeria could hang until Giroud left the pitch and France upped their tempo, after that it was a wrap. And Colombia didn't look good at all in the last 20-25 of the 2nd half against Uruguay.

And Enyeama was the reason Nigeria stuck in that game for as long as they did.
