When I was a kid the Rockets were on the verge of a dynasty. They had the two best young big men in the game in Hakeem and Ralph Sampson. Along with these two they had Robert Reid, John Lucas, Rodney McCray, Lew Lloyd and Mitchell Wiggins. In 86 the Rockets dismantled the Lakers in 5 games easily in the Western Conference Finals but lost to the veteran Celtics in the Finals that year. Everyone felt the Rockets were headed to multiple championships after that but two things derailed them. Ralph Sampsons injuries and Lew Lloyd and Mitchell Wiggins (father of Andrew Wiggins) getting banned for drugs for two years. I hope his dad told him what not to do. Mitchell Wiggins had game as well.
