Looking at a couple draft props:

    1. Parker at #1, +200: I think this pick is still a coin-flip, which gives this prop some solid value.

    2. Embiid under 6.5, -120: He'll slip for sure, but I think the Celtics would be willing to gamble with all their extra picks over the next few years. Plus Utah could swoop in at 5, thrown in Favors and swap with the Cavs.

    3. Napier under 23.5, -135: This seems insane, the Celtics are already intrigued at #17, saying "If he's there." And he's supposedly high on the Grizzlies board at 22, as a safety net.

    4. Stauskas to be drafted before Gary Harris, +175: Another coin-flip, IMO, so this is solid value.

Don't think Parker goes #1, but I like these picks, esp Stauskus before Harris. Surprised that's not a favorite.

I'd be willing to take my chances on Embid. Special player.

Where are you getting those props.

Embid under 6.5 is great. I think he goes 4 to Orlando. The thing is he wont make it past 7 and I am pretty positive who the Celtics are taking.
The Napier one I am not so sure of. I really haven't followed him at all.

dont like smart... too hot headed and too streaky. plus hes not a true pg, always hogging the ball like westbrook. plus lakers need a big man who can score under the basket and dominate the boards like randle.

the biggest bust of this draft however will be parker. another dukie flunkie.

Smart is just a player. Without a real position. Put him next to a shooter/facilitator and he's dangerous.

    If Parker is a poor-mans Melo, then Smart is a poor-mans D.Wade.

comparing smart to wade is offensive to wade. wade shot 50% in college and rose to the occasion in big games. smart only shot 42% and was consistently mia in big games. hes more like a poor mans luol deng.

youre right that he doesnt really have defined position as he lacks the dribbling/passing skills to be a pg and doesnt shoot well enough to be a sg. see him as just a mop up duty guy.

and if lakers get klay thompson they have no use for him. need a big man.

Smart's game is kind of similar to Oladipo's. He's a hustle guy who is best when attacking the rim and a good defender. I actually read a article that says the Magic may take Smart to pair with Oladipo.

That doesn't make any sense, neither one of them is a pure point guard, they'd be better off drafting Exum.

In Cleveland's defense, there was no clear #1 favorite last year. Any team who had the first pick could have been victim to a bad pick. It will either be Parker or Wiggins at #1, last I heard is that they like Parker.

^ Heh, there's no defense for drafting Anthony Bennett with the top pick, the dude is Jason Maxiell with a slightly higher ceiling, IMO.

Sportsbook, however the lines have already shifted a lot, so I'm happy I got in on them pretty much right after they were posted. Here's the movement:

    - #1 overall pick is off the board right now
    - Embiid line moved from u6.5 (-120) to u5.5 (-175)
    - Stauskas before Harris moved +175 to -115
    - Napier u23.5 moved from -135 to -165

Hopefully a couple of the ones I took yesterday hit!

Who would you have drafted at #1 then? Either way it probably would have been a bust. Outside of Oladipo and Burke, that entire class sucked.....and it's not like either of those two guys are going to be all-stars.

If there doesn't seem to be any good options, then trade the pick. Admittedly last years draft wasn't a good one, but everyone was surprised when they drafted Bennett. The guy had bust written all over him, but that's why they're the Cavs.

Ha ha, yes that IS why they're the Cavs! I think they were trying to trade the pick though, but no one was interested. Obviously Burke made no sense for Cleveland with Irving, but I think Oladipo might've been the way to go. Not too high on him, as I think he'll just be an "ok" player, but with the obvious rift between Waiters and Irving, it might've been smart.

Porter made sense too, but he looks like a bust as well. Hopefully it was just injury issues, but I'm not too optimistic.

Overall, I agree 100%, it was pretty much a garbage draft (save for Burke, Oladipo, MCW & Adams), with 18 players (including Noel) still not having played a minute in the NBA, and a lot of those guys aren't overseas.

Just glancing at some of these mock draft boards, this draft is so deep. Definitely one of the deepest in a long time. Payne, Napier, Jerami Grant, Cleanthony Early, all good picks that are projected in the mid to late 1st round.

Bucks should draft that kid Thanasis so they could have the Antetokounmpo brothers. Giannis and Thanasis.
